What's a girl got to do to get some reader's up in this PTR! Home, TR link up! 9-23

One of my BFF's college roommates (I knew her too) had borderline, she was a cutter too. So, yeah, I know what you're talking about. And you too (ok, bad joke about MPD there, sorry! It's early! Leave me alone! I tell bad jokes! And use a lot of exclamation points! And ramble in the morning!!!) DH said that I'm a "zombie" on anti-depressives. I didn't realize it, but then again, I'm not very self-aware.

Speaking of cherries... (to give you some background here) my kitchen is a little retro, not as much as I want it to be, but I'm working on it... yellow walls, with white cabinets, and for art, I've framed crate labels from the 40s. Mom is going to make me a little window treatment that is embroidered cherries on white fabric! It'll be so stinking cute! I did have a cherry-topped drain stop, that I carried with me for years until we bought this house, but DH broke it & threw it away without telling me! :scared1: Butt head.

first off.. I loveee that you just called dh a butthead :lmao:

and I totally loved your joke :)

I love allll things retro! I always say I should been a late 40's/50's house wife!! Your kitchen sounds adorable. We rent so I never have anything too cute.

go to sublimestitching.com TONS of cute retro/tattooey/fun emroidery stuff! and its easy to do.. not that you have time.. but you can say here mom , make this! I love to embroider baby onesies!

Major  to you right now. I know how hard that can be to deal with, and it seems even tougher for so many people with the way the economy is at the moment. I hope you feel better soon, though!

And, you're going to WDW this year. So that's definitely something to smile about!! AND, you're going to meet some AWESOME DIS'ers while you're there! EVEN better!! :goodvibes
You are absolutely right! thanks for the kind words!
right back atcha!
Just wanted to send you some hugs

I loves the hugs, thank you!

Your kids are adorable! I can't believe I just found your PTR now! But hey, better late than never! CSR and free dining sounds like it's going to be an AWESOME trip! Can't wait to read more!!

PS I was diagnosed with depression almost four years ago. I'm better now w/my medication but obviously it doesn't work for everyone. Hope you are feeling better by now! I find that planning Disney makes me feel better. They should like prescribe trips to Disney at the Dr. and then the insurance should cover it. LOL.

Hi, and welcome to my PTR!! Thank you for the nicey compliments on my kiddies. I think they are cute too :lmao:

As for the depression, I hate meds. They do work, but I rather feel than be zombie like, and unfortunately the meds they prescribe for me make me just not me at all.

and I am in agreement 150% about insurance covering disney trips..wishful thinking!

gonna head over to your PTR now!

Oooh! I like your new avatar! I mean, it's *almost* as cute as a hamster in a ball.... :rotfl:

Here's the quilt my grandmother stitched:

I can't BELIEVE I am just now discovering your Pre-trip report. LOVED your last trip report. I am signing on! :thumbsup2

So I was at the market a couple days ago and in the egg section I noticed these:

jpeg.jpg

I almost bought them, but a) they are not organic and b) the stamps that were on the eggs were pretty tiny, and all smudged. So at the end of the day I would be buying eggs with jacked up stamps just because it had disney characters on them.. I decided against it. I am sure had jack or Kayla pushed it, I would have bought them though!

In other news, Sophia and I had a mega disney planning session via facebook instant messenger:surfweb: this past Sunday. Never mind that we had guests over, I was in the zone! Plus, they were John's friends, so did I really need to pay full attention??:rolleyes1 [In my defense, Sunday is my day to myself, and John's friend pretty much insisted on coming over. Also, Sophia and I rarely have that much time to talk one on one. So yeah.. I wasn't completely rude!!!]

Once we got looking at our adr choices closely, we were able to really tweak it all to perfection..hope those stupid hours that are not out yet don't screw things up too much! Sophia wrote all the times down, but lets see if I can remember. Sophia, feel free to tell me what i screwed up here!!

Saturday, 9-12-09
As planned we are still meeting at DTD. Earl of sandwich for dinner, and T-rex for dessert. Not sure how it is all gonna go down yet, but we have some dismeets going on tonight!! Girls chime in here..

Sunday, 9-13-09
So originally we were supposed to go to Maya Grille for breakfast this day. But now we seem to have a super mega dismeet at Chef Mickey's! Let's not forget CRT tonight!!

Monday, 9-14-09
Still doing yummy breakfast at Boma with Sophi and Joe this day! Then heading to DHS. Dinner at Mama Melrose, fantasmic package.//finger crossed!

Tuesday, 9-15-09
Early adr's at Tusker house, with a plan of making DAK rope drop! After that I am confused. Originally I planned on doing Yak and Yeti for lunch then Kona for dinner. I have decided that it would be more fun to leave that night open and go wherever....:scared: I know, crazy! But it will be fun to see where the night takes us!

Wednesday, 9-16-09

Breakfast is still at good ol' Akeshurs! Dinner at Biergarten with Sophia and Joe!

Thursday, 9-17-09
Konaaaaaa for Sophia and Joe's wedding anniversary! Then we are going to have an awesome photo shoot at the POLY!!! Ooooh..fancy.lol As stated before we will be going to DAK for a couple of hours and then going to DHS and having dinner at 50's PTC!

Friday, 9-18-09
I would like to just remind you all, this is the night we will be going to MNSSHP!!!!! wooot!:yay: Anywho, we have adr's for 1900 PF this morning. Again with Sophia and Joe! after that more free time!! I am thinking pool time..naps..dtd if really adventurous! For some reason I thought MNSSHP started at 4.. yeah I went 6months agpo.. yeah I have bad remembory. CRT still stands for this night. But I can now make a 430 as opposed to 3:30/4 pm ressies:lmao:

Saturday, 9-19-09
Small breakfast at pepper market. I believe our dining buddies are doing the same! Then we are heading off to Epcot. This will be a sleep in day, as we plan on staying til the end of MNSSHP!! Breakfast will be light. Then we are having lunch over at Coral reef, then exploring world showcase. We didn;t do a good job of it last trip. Hopefully S and J will join us for this! This night we will go to Le Cellier!! I am stoked... I hope I like it as much as most of you!

Sunday, 9-20-09

John's bday!! SOOOOO..originally we were going to do CRT for breakfast(and we still might), but after looking at some reports today I am thinking of doing CP. We need to make rope drop this day! So either place we go, it needs to be early! If we do CP that leaves us with some extra dining credits.. I am gonna get crazy here.. I amy try a CS!!!! I figure if we eat before rope drop, we will probably be hungry by 1 or 2..if not earlier! and dinner is at HDDMR at 7... so CS lovers come out and tell me your fav choices!! Keep in mind that we have a ton of snack credits too, so that is another option.. I will accept idea for those too!

Monday, 9-21-09
:sad1: Today we leave. Originally we were going to do Chgef Micket's today, but since we are doing that on the 13th now we will go to Maya Grille. This is also kind of open. We don't have to even do breakfast..or Maya Grille. It just seems like the easiest choice. We will also go to DTD today and use up the rest of our snack credits at Goofy;s!! They make nice treats to give teachers and friends!

So that is about it. Not anything life altering, but some changes! Sophia please feel free to put down the times we are aiming for!! Waiting to make our adr's is killing me!!

AK rope drop is the only one I've ever made LOL! All your plans sound great (and yummy!!) I swear all the PTR's I'm reading have people going to Kona and it's just making me want Tonga Toast!!

Why can't you two just go down in August, and stay for a month?

Sounds like a fun trip! I'm on FB too!

Love your dining choices! Have you eaten at Kona? Their menu sounds awesome. We are doing breakfast there, but dinner sounds great too.

Hey! The plan looks great! I thought I would give you my 2 cents worth (and that's about ALL it's worth!)

First of all, good move in passing over the Disney eggs.....I say just go find some Disney character stamps and make your own, right? :rotfl2:

Your super mega DISmeet at Chef Mickey's sounds like a lot of fun! Me and some of the others that are going in May have organized a meet at Epcot on May 17th that we are calling the "Mammoth May Meet." That should be a lot of fun! We are even going to get t-shirts printed up!

On Monday, you can't beat breakfast at Boma! In fact, we are planning to go back there on our upcoming trip. We will also be trying Mama Melrose for lunch.

On Tuesday, you were planning Yak & Yeti for lunch and Kona for dinner. Personally, I think that is an AWESOME lineup! We ate at both places last May and loved them. I've got lots of pictures and reviews for both places in my last trip report. (The link is in my signature, if you're interested. You can go to page one and just look for the chapter that interests you.) In fact, we are going back to both of these restaurants on our upcoming trip! I plan to order the exact same thing at both places as last year!! At Y&Y, I am having the seared ahi tuna for an appetizer, the shaoxing steak & shrimp for entree, and the fried wontons for dessert. (I'll probably throw in an Emperor's Margarita as well! ;) ) At Kona, I will order the wings (SOOO good) for an appetizer and the prime rib as an entree.

On Wednesday, we've never eaten at Akershus or Biergarten, but I would like to eat at both places the next time we go. I've been wanting to eat at Biergarten since we started planning our first trip, but I keep getting outvoted by the rest of the family!

Oh, I see that on Thursday you WILL be at Kona. Okay, now it makes more sense to keep your options open on Tuesday night! :)

Friday - 1900 Park Faire, CRT AND MNSSHP!!! What a great day!

Saturday - Coral Reef & Le Cellier - we are doing BOTH on our upcoming trip as well, only on two seperate days...and both for lunch. Our DD is more excited about Coral Reef than any other restaurant! (She thinks it will be cool to eat in a restaurant surrounded by an aquarium.)

Sunday - we've never done HDDR, but we have friends who go every year and love it. We considered doing it on our last trip, but ultimately I think we all wanted to try as many 2TS dinners as possible!

Monday - Although we stay at CSR, we've never eaten at Maya Grill. Just for the sake of convenience, I am thinking about adding a breakfast ADR at Maya to our list. AND, you are SO right about those snack credits at Goofy's Candy Co.!!! We had "souvenirs" for everyone!

Hang in there - that 90 day window will be here before you know it! Isn't being on the Deluxe Dining Plan awesome?

(sorry for such a long post)

Alan

Ya know, I haven't had the tonga toast..and I hate to say this.. idk that i will order it next time either. I liked the big kahuna deal..but we will see.. (please, no one hit me lol)

Don't I wish I could go for a month!! FB is awesomeness! Twitter is pretty cool too..kinda

Love your dining choices! Have you eaten at Kona? Their menu sounds awesome. We are doing breakfast there, but dinner sounds great too.

Thanks! We have done breakfast there, and wanted to dinner, but it just doesnt seem to be in the cards this time. I can say the breakfast totally ruled!

II loveeee long posts! I also love the idea of making dismeet up shirts! and stamping my own eggs!!:rotfl:

I also agree that the dxdp is awesome.. i know many people dislike it, but for now, it is good for us!

Biergarten was not my choice, I mean it was, but I don't actually want to go. But I put it out there to be nice. John likes that kind of stuff, and sophia said it was good. So I am being adventurous!!

You should def try HDDMR, it isn't fabulous food, but it is fun!

I am not thrilled to eat at the maya grill, but it is easy. Like I said, this is not set in stone!

Oh and back to akeshurs, I really enjoy the breakfast here! didn't enjoy the dinner so much.. but that was in 2005, an dthe menu was different. i may try it again someday...

Ok, so do you guys ever go in sept?? a dismeet with you would rawkkk!

so again.. Sophia and her hubs Joe are amazing people and have brightened our lives!! We received two boxes today full of easter "baskets" for the kids. Kayla has not opened hers yet, but Jack did and absolutely loved everything!! She also sent me the new passporter, and I am jazzed!! I have always wanted one!! It is a cool one too!!

So again, Sophia thank you x a gazillion trillion, infinity!

These eggs look so cool! But, the shells just get thrown away so it'd be a waste to buy them!

Still doing yummy breakfast at Boma with Sophi and Joe this day! Then heading to DHS. Dinner at Mama Melrose, fantasmic package.//finger crossed!: We've done the Mama Melrose/Fantasmic package a couple years ago and loved it! We got a early ADR for Mama Melrose so we had time to squeeze a couple more things in after we ate before we headed to the front for our entrance for Fantasmic package people. We loved being able to just walk in and skip the "herding"!

Tuesday, 9-15-09
