What's a clean CHEAP hotel for 1 night?

First I must confess, I never stay off property so I am lost! Here is our situation. I'm a DVC member taking a quick unplanned weekend trip. We're arriving at 11:55 at night and to save points on that night I'd like to stay for one night off property at the cheapest hotel I can find that is not gross! Just some place to sleep for a few hours as I assume we won't get there until close to 1am and we will be gone by 8 am. Can anyone recommend anything?

Best cheap hotel in IDrive location is Homewood Suites by Hilton next to the convention centre. Very clean, all suite, sleeps up to 6, free wifi, great comp. breakfast.

Fairfield Inn, Canada Avenue, International drive is also great. V Clean, great prices, free wifi, good comp. continental breakfast.

Have stayed in both and couldn't get over how clean they both were!

You could also do Priceline for an airport hotel. Hotels around the airport are all decent chains with free shuttles..

Question about hotels with free shuttles to the airport....

Could we take the shuttle to the hotel at night and then take it back to the airport in the morning to take the magical express to Disney....trying to do a budget trip!

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott next to the airport prior to sailing on DCL. When we booked, it was only $79/nt. AAA rate + tax. It included a free shuttle and free cont. breakfast. Perfect for what we needed. Not luxurious but clean.

We've used PL, but check the outline of their MCO map carefully. We got The Florida Mall Hotel for $60 once. It was a beautiful place but, flying in at 11:30 pm with small kids, it was just too far away-5+ miles from MCO when there are plenty of hotels right there.

For a quickie in Sept., also with later flight after work, we tried Hotwire and with the help of betterbidding.com, identified (prior to booking) the Wingate Inn. It also has a free shuttle and free cont. breakfast for only $49/nt. +tax.
I believe it's fairly new but maybe others can clarify that. It's overall rating on Tripadvisor is a 4.5.
Look for a 3* with the following amenities:
Airport Shuttle
Fitness Center
Pool(s)
Business Center
High-speed Internet Access

Hi, I used HOTWIRE in April when we had a night flight and I wanted 1 night near the airport. I chose a 3.5 star and booked within a week of needing the room and I got the Hyatt right in the airport. It was wonderful, a GREAT hotel and priced right! We paid about $80. for the night. I would definitely use HOTWIRE again. If you do a search on this board you can get some good information on using HOTWIRE. Good Luck! Joan

According to betterbidding.com this one is either the Hyatt in MCO terminal or the Renaissance by Marriott. Awesome price for either place!

This is the Wingate for sure since we booked this same deal for Sept. We like this one since they offer free breakfast too which is a great deal for 4 us!!
