What would your High School self think about your style today?

I'm still a T-shirt and jeans kind of girl.

My HS self would be very impressed with my current self.
I was kinda frumpy in HS because my mom is very conservative and never knew or liked current styles, so therefore I was never dressing with current trends.

Today, at almost 51, I very much know the current trends and I do dress in style in an age appropriate manner. One of my favorite compliments from DD19 was when she told me how she loves that I dress in style without trying to look like her and her friends. Since I know the styles, I’m able to have fun shopping with DD19 and have fun buying her new things. I also make sure I keep up with current music, so her and I can enjoy that together too. I love my 80s music and The Frank Sinatra Channel, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy todays music too - I don’t want to be that mom that has no idea who’s performing at half time at the Super Bowl - LOL!

SHOCKED that I would willingly wear white socks, that I wouldn't care if my bra strap accidently showed, that I don't have a pair of tennis shoes in every color so that my shoes matched my outfit, that I don't wear lots of jewelry, that I don't change my purse regularly and that I mostly use a wallet purse as opposed to a over the arm piece of luggage.

I think as a guy, we don’t really change our style to begin with. The exception being if there is a dress code for work.

This, and it's not even a style. It's just clothes to me. The same clothes if they get stained turns into the work clothes.

I knew who I was then and I know who I am now. I.E. nothing has changed.

It really hasn't changed that much. I don't dress up as often as I used to so the more over-the-top Goth stuff is long gone, but the everyday wear of jeans, tees, Chucks and Docs are pretty much the same. I think my high school self would be impressed that I followed a career path that didn't force me into the skirt-and-blazer mold of the professional women I knew growing up.

My high school self would be happy that I don’t tease our hair anymore, our eyebrows are reeled in, and that the braces are gone In terms of style, it is still the same. Jeans and heeled shoes, lots of sweaters, and we still have an extensive shoe/sneaker collection and on weekends, comfy clothes and baseball hats are the way to go.
