What would you rather not have

Journey Into Narnia must have been removed since I last visited because there have been 8 pages and not a single mention...

The space/attraction is still there, but now its focused on Prince Caspian, with a meet/greet available. Not the best use of space at DHS, but still beats Sounds Dangerous lol

I have heard that about 70% of the guests at WDW are people who are there for the first time so there is very little need to change a good show

Really???? I love MGM, not really sure why but I do. I love ToT, RnR, TSM, Star Tours, Indiana Jones, Muppets, Little Mermaid, Backstage, Lights Motor Action....so much fun stuff to do.

Atlthough they could do without Narnia too, though I love Narnia I was disappointed with this, as it was just a movie trailer and some costumes.

The Indy Speedway and Lights, Motor, Action. I don't know why but I can sit though Indiana Jones a thousand times but twice of the car stunt show was two many times for me!

Sorry, I'm straying a little off topic, but this is an interesting statistic.
I am sort of surprised that there are that many first timers. I guess because the DIS is so full of WDW veterans. I wonder if the Annual Pass promotion will increase repeat visits. It almost has to! I know from personal experience that they burn a hole in your pocket!

Okay, please resume discussion in progress! ;)

Blow up Dinoland (Primevel whirl, cheesy carnival games)with the exception of Dinosaur. That is the oddest, most out of place area in all of WDW.

I completely agree. No matter how many times I go, I am always surprised to see county fair type rides at WDW. :confused3

I used to correct people when they would talk about "rides" at Disney and tell them they have "attractions". Can't say that anymore because AK has those cheesy "rides".

Isn't that the theming of the entire area though? Yes, they're carnival/fair type rides and games, but it's a carnival/fair themed section of the park, so it's that way on purpose. ;)

I think it's very well done overall. It comes across as exactly what it's supposed to be.

it would have to be the new version of the living seas they ruined the old one. You are supposed to go there to learn about the oceans and all the marine animals not watch nemo and his friends swim in circles. I can see Walt Disney rolling over in his grave on this one. A close second is the stupid thing they did to the Mexico ride.

I'm not a fan of the Tomorrowland Speedway.
It's slow, smelly and pretty much not fun.
:thumbsup2

2nd runner up is Country Bear Jamboree.

I'd say bring back Alien Escape. Only that I LOVE the smell of that yummy chilidog.:lovestruc:love::woohoo: No seriously... I craved a chilidog all week after riding that ride. I finally got one on the trip home. Of course you see my sig... I LOVE Beverly, so maybe I'm not the norm here.

Also on the Small World... I've often made the statement "I'd rather ride IASM all day long, never getting off, and singing that song, than work." It's like the metallic water at Magic Kingdom... when I experience it my mind confirms "Yeah! Your really here!!!":3dglasses

Use the saved money to make POTC a 2 mile ride complete with the Cracken, Davy Jones, Barbossa, and a Malestrom. Oh....and they could give you headphnes so you could hear Jack Sparrow whisper "Savvy?" in your ear as you exit.

Yes! I'll go for that one! (I wonder how many students think I'm odd when I'm explaining something to them and say "Savvy?"...)

As far as my votes, I'd have to say keep Stitch, but it was adorable for my Princess/Super Hero Wanna Be (age 4) to go running up to a CM as soon as we left the ride to demand to know where Stitch was...so she could save the princesses. :lmao:

Get rid of Country Bears (I've been twice in the last 11 years, and -- not that I wanted to see it -- but closed both times.) The Indy Speedway can go, too. Wasn't impressed with the treehouse, but it seems like it was different than it used to be (or maybe it used to be less crowded...?)

Kali River Rapids... honestly this ride is soooo short... I prefer the rapids ride at my local amusement park... you actually get wet and it isn't over in 30 seconds nor does it usually have a 50 minute wait

"You actually get wet"?? I was soaked through after riding the rapids...not a dry spot on me. Karmic payback for joking that, since the raft rotated me to the front, the water would splash over me and soak everyone else. So wrong. I was most soaked on the raft. Too bad there wasn't a prize for that.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

World peace.......................????? :confused3

If thats world peace, GIVE ME WAR!!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: ;)

World peace...................:lmao: :rotfl:

DEF NO SOUP FOR YOU EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headache:

"The ride features a multitude of audio-animatronic figures in the style of children of the world frolicking in a spirit of international unity and singing the ride's title track (written by the Sherman Brothers), espousing a theme of global peace."

Also, have you noticed little kids and older people-especially people that saw Small World at the 1964/65 Worlds Fair in NY love the attraction? Not everything has to be something we personally like or a thrill ride. Walt got it right. There was something for everyone.

Its a Small World:scared1: :scared1:

That SONG is irritating!!!!!!!

Just how many languages does one need to hear that awful, irritating, fingernails on a chalkboard theme!!!! And those demonized puppets moving like the Borg…………

I will pay the first $1000 to implode that thing!!!

Agreed.

We all decided, though, that you could make it the best ride in the park with one simple change...give every rider a bbgun!

If i had that option i would instantly bulldoze Stitch's Great Escape and Tomorrowland Speedway. Stitch's Great Escape was the biggest waste of time in my entire life.

I agree with Stitch and Sounds Dangerous. I don't agree with eliminating small, quiet attractions like Swiss Family Robinson and Tom Sawyer's Island. They're classics and good for a change of pace. I don't believe that everything at the parks should be fast, jazzy attractions or rides where you just sit there and are entertained. A little variety is a good thing.

I agree that WDW needs to keep somewhere for folk to relax a little and the Tree House and Tom Sawyers Island provide that.

Stitch is OK, did it last year and won't feel the need to do it again this year, but most first timers will go on it and most will love it.

Never done Sounds Dangerous, mainly because Drew Carey was never widely known on my side of the water and I thought that it probably wouldn't appeal to me.

I think that some of the posters on here are a little bit jaded and need to look at the parks as a newcomer would. We had a gap of 6 years and when we did get back everything was like new to us and therefore we felt that we wanted to do everything afresh.

If something had to go or be radically improved, I'd vote for the speedway as it really is starting to look past it's best, like someone else posted, bring it up to date with a Cars theme and with electric or solar powered motors (shouldn't be a problem for Florida).

Sounds Dangerous. It's dying too slow a death, IMO. Remove it already. I can listen to a podcast with a ride-through of an attraction and have tons more fun than sitting in a dark room with headphones on. What a half-butt idea.

I wonder if the Annual Pass promotion will increase repeat visits. It almost has to!
Can you PM me about this???? I haven't heard about this yet, and we have APs.

Oh, and I LOVE IASM.:goodvibes I will admit I wasn't as impressed before the remodel, but since the changes it's just "relaxing". My life is one of chaos, and fried nerves. IASM is "soothing". I just sit back, smile, and relax. Oh, and it's the only ride that always has a CM who cheerfully waves at me. She's not waving at the rest of you, only me!;)

How about some of those shows? Theres way too many, i think people would like it more if they made some of them, not all of them though, into rides. Think about some of these shows, for example, the old indiana jones show. You could make a fun ride out of animatronics. It would be better than a show i think.

While I'm sure you'd like that, and I probably would as well... There's a lot of people who simply will NOT get on rides. They will watch shows, but they aren't getting on any rides. And while it may be easy for us (who are ride lovers) to forget, they are probably part of the family. IE "Grandpa won't go. He says there's not enough shows there and he won't ride any rides... so I guess we'll have to wait till we can go without him."
Disney is for families, and some of those in families aren't always as brave as others. There have to be lots of shows for the wimps.:thumbsup2:rotfl2:
