What would you place onto a backpack for supplies ?

I was considering carrying a backpack for out trip to MK on June 19. What would you reccomend we keep in it ?

Here's what I have so far:
Water bottles
moleskin,
fan misters,
film
extra camera battery

snacks or full lunch ?
I think I read someplace where someone froze the drinks so they would be just right during the day.

Is it worth to carry a backpack or to just store it in a locker inside ?

I don't know about everyone, but I think it's totally worth it to carry it. I would hate to have to run to a locker anytime I wanted something out of it. WDW is a big place. Here are a couple other things that I always carry:

Ponchos
Umbrella
Aspirin
Contact lens solution

Some days I carry my Healthy Bag backpack and I also add a couple of ponchos, small first aid kit, handi wipes, sunblock, small snacks, and of course pins.

Make a photocopy of your tickets and take it with you.
As long as you have the ticket #, you can get them replaced
in case you lose them.

Usually carry purse or back pack with many of the items listed. I also put some powder (small travel size) and a washcloth in mine. I have a kit that I throw in my purse that includes bandaids, wipes, stain remover, sewing kit, etc. that I never go anywhere without!

Especially during the summer, it is really great to stop in the ladies and freshen up by washing my face, powdering and refreshing my make up. Don't know if its the refreshing or staying in the coolness of the bathroom that gives me an energy boost...but it works for me!!

We have found a great mid size backpack (gender neutral) that we all take turns carrying. We carry it all day because some of the stuff we may want throughout the day. We carry for the 3 of us:

Small first aid kit
ponchos
small travel umbrella
Camera
Wallett (this is attached to a clippy string thing on the inside make it harder for anyone to steal and it doesn't fall out when DS goes riffling through the bag)
Anitbacterial Hand Gel
Sunscreen
Saline Solution, contact case, and glasses
autograph book & Pen
Usually 2 bottles of water
and sometimes... a granola bar or small packs of crackers

We try not to overload it and keep it pretty light so it is not a pain to carry around. This past February we went, and it was cool in the morning and night but during the day the sun got pretty warm. So DS & DH wore those zip off pants (since they can't wear capris) and we put the leg bottoms in the bag too. No sweatshirts though, if it is gonna be cool then they go around the waist.

Just bought a nice bright yellow single strap backpack from walmart. The yellow should help me stand out in the crowd.

We also spent $250 on all those "little things" you need when traveling.

Another reason for me to wear a backpack with big shoulder straps is that it is more comfortable for my DS (3 1/2) to ride on my shoulders with the pack on since it gives him some cushion against my bony shoulders

OK - AP tickets, traveler checks and cash are in MY hip pack.
No quick hands can steal it. I also carry mini flash lights for dark rides and sharpie pens for autograhphs.

Back pack on DH....
2 spray water bottle thingy's - kids eventually carry them,
4 WDW poncho's wrapped tightly in a plastic bag,
2 autograph books,
1 water bottle (partially frozen/very cool) in an insulated
water bottle holder - my DD only drinks water or milk
DH's camera's (2 of them),
extra plastic bags for camera's if it rains or we do wet rides.

We do suntan lotion in the AM before we leave our WDW resort.
Medical supplies are available at each Park.

The lighter the back pack, the happier my DH is.

Yes, I have the Dopey T-shirt from outside Snow White's ride
which says I am with Grumpy
I guess that makes me Dopey


I hope it helps - we travel light.
Second time around we cut back on our load we carry around.
We do not do strollers.
I can not wait to see what we cut back on the 3rd time around...
leave out the video carmera and only take the digital ?

Number one on our list is a Brita water bottle. We used this on our trip in March and it was wonderful. They cost under $10, so even getting a couple is well worth it. We'd stop at any counter service place and they'd fill it up with ice and water. Then we would stop at fountains for a couple more refills before needing to get fresh ice. Our family are waterholics - we definitely prefer it over soda, but Disney water definitely leaves a lot to be desired. We are really picky about the taste of our water, and I just can't get over how great the filter works. If we bought the bottled water in the park we'd easily spend over $20-$30 (2-3 bottles per person) a day, plus for counter service meals we save on the cost of drinks as well. It was just so great having cold, fresh and FREE water all day.

Also, DH has a sensitive tummy and can't help himself from overindulging on vacation - so, Tums and Immodium

Also, last time we went to Fantasmic and we were there an hour before the show and the middle was completely packed in when it started to downpour!! The umbrellas started popping open, but those people were quickly told absolutely no umbrellas. Needless to say there was a long line for those $8 Mickey ponchos. I was so glad to have stocked up from the dollar store. Luckily it cleared up in time and we just tossed them rather than carry around wet ponchos.

We also carry a roll of quarters and a roll of pennies.
Our DS 4 is crazy about the pressed penny and quarter machines that you find all over the parks.

We have a back pack with slots on the side to hold bottles of liquid. We always pack one pop (cold) and one ice so it melts to water later. Last time we had one of those cooler thermos things too but it leaked all inside the back pack and the water tasted like platic. YUCK! Most rides have a spot to put your pack now or if not just hold in front of you backwards.

Use a big backpack, and put in a hibachi, some charcoal, and a few steaks. Cook in the dark, slow rides, like Snow White, so nobody can see.

Children's Motrin/Advil. Not to be found on WDW property -- at least not the several places we looked for it. Even guest relations couldn't tell us where to find some. We will definately be carrying it from now on.

I was going to bring a small backpack since I needed something to hold our stuff but the thought of wearing a backpack all day just sounded really hot. I normally despise "fanny packs" but I found the coolest one. It's a square-ish shaped pack that you can wear with a shoulder strap like a purse OR you can take those off and zip out the fanny pack straps and put it around your waste. It also has a zip out mesh pocket on either side to put water bottles in. It was awesome to use and for most rides I would just turn it around to the front so that I could sit.

My big tip for packing in any bag is to get those zipper zip-lock plastic bags and put everything that's in your backpack/fanny pack also in there. It's great for when it all of a sudden starts raining and you're too busy ducking for cover to realize that you're camera is getting soaked in your backpack.

I've also read that some people have had luck with scotchguarding the heck out of their backpacks before going inorder to make them waterproof.
