If the rate was within $20 dollars of each other which would you stay at during Feb?

CR at $199 wing room or $189 (possibly as high as $200 due to the extra fees) Dolphin standard?

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

CR wing if you have little ones & will be back & forth to MK more then 1x.
Dolphin if your kids are older and will be at Epoct & MGM far more then MK.
:earsgirl:

Well we have 3 days at MK, 3 days at Epcot, 1 MGM, & 1 AK planned. My kiddies are 4,6, & 9. That's why I am driving myself crazy trying to figure which would be best.

I'd have to choose the CR. The use of the monorail to MK and Epcot with three kids would be easier.

This one's easy! ;) I would also choose CR. You will be spending 6 days of your trip between the MK & Epcot. CR is very convenient to both (especially MK).

CR - Definitely. Make the decision and DON"T second guess.

AND, for the love of God, pleeeeeease don't anyone suggest splitting the stay!!!!!!!

This has nothing to do with your reply I have seen your posts a lot and I have to know where is the angry beaver at?

My first trip to WDW was when I was 11 yrs old. When I saw the CR, I was in awe. I wanted to stay there so badly. I couldn't get over the monorail running through it. I thought that was so cool.

Your kids will most likely feel the same way. Plus, the convenience of the monorail is hard to beat, especially with little ones.

I know where that beaver is! In the elevator at Wilderness Lodge! LOL.... I know because I also took a picture of it. My family laughed at me and said I was a picture nut!

Edited to add: I vote for the Dolphin. My family loves the Boardwalk area, and we often stay at the BWI. I don't happen to like the wings of the Contemp. I love the tower, and the closeness to MK though. Get a piece of paper and weigh out the pros and cons for yourself. See which side has more.

Why not do a split stay? You could have the best of both worlds! CR to be super close to MK, the Swan to be close to Epcot/MGM! If only able to chose one, I would pick the one nearest whichever park I am wanting to spend the most time at! Either will be great!!

I vote for CR. Those rooms are sooooo large and like everyone else says, the monorail is so fun and convenient.

I would vote for CR. I have been at the Dolphin and I would want to try something new. the Dolphin and Swan remind me of a very expensive hotel room.

LOL I am still laughing over this comment! I vote also for the CR, if for no other reason than the many benefits of staying at a Disney resort AND being on the monorail. Splitting stays *anywhere* drives me nuts!

:flower:

I would probably go for the Contemporary, would only chose the dolphin if you are really interested for the starwood points for your stay. We have stayed at both contemporary and swan so that is what I am comparing it to.

Conteporary, no brainer. Especially since self park is free at WDW hotels and Swan/Dolphin charges like $15 a day for self park :earseek: Plus you get the convenience of walking to MK if you wish and the Disney immersion experience! No offence, we stayed at he Swan once and it seemed almost like any other cookie cutter convention hotel.

If it's Contemporary Tower than CR gets my vote, but for a Wing room, I'd have to go with the Dolphin. There is so much more in that area. Lots of dining and recreation choices and the rooms are great there.

If you aren't open to splitting the stay, I'd pick the Dolphin, hands down. It has become our favorite WDW resort. The location can't be beat, the Heavenly Beds are :cloud9: (esp. compared to the Disney beds, which I find to be very hard & uncomfortable) the service is fantastic & the Grotto is second only to Stormalong Bay.
