Flying Fish and Artist Point
Kona
No opinion

I've been to Artist Point twice and loved it each time. I went to Flying Fish for the first time this past trip and loved it too. Both have great food but totally different atmospheres.

I've never been to Y&Y, just not my kind of food, but I've been to Kona quite a few times, both for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed it. It can get a little loud for some peoples tastes though, but I don't think its loud compared to places like Whispering Canyon and Chef Mickey's.

Never been to either of the 3rd set of choices so I'm no help there

Choice 1-Flying Fish and Artist Point (with Cali Grill being a close third only for their sushi and flat breads--not fond of any of their entrees except the pork and also don't care for any of their desserts--they have the best cheese plate on property though)

Choice 2-Yak & Yeti (love their lettuce wraps, ribs, and won ton dessert)

Choice 3-not fond of either, but if I had to choose it'd be Tony's

Based purely on the quality of food:

1. Flying Fish and AP
2. Y&Y
3. The Wave (but I don't care mich for either selection)

:thumbsup2

:wizard: 1. Cali Grill
2. Kona
3. Haven't been to Tony's in a long time and never to the Wave. I think there are better places than those two!

Choice 1- (Pick 2) Flying fish, Narcoose, Cali Grill, Artist Point -
I would pick FF & CG. FF is my favorite on property. Didn't care too much for AP except for the side of mac & cheese which was incredible (adult mac & cheese really) & my DH liked the salmon. Narcoosees is good too but we've had bad experiences there too.

Choice 2- Yak and Yeti vs. Kona -
I like both. We never miss Y&Y when at AK, so it really depends on where you will be.

Choice 3- tony's town square vs The wave -
Never ate at the wave. TTS is more in line with Olive Garden, its okay but not great. But we never had a bad experience, the food is just so so.

I'd choose....
Flying Fish and Narcoossee's
Kona
Tonys

Your first two are your "fine dining" restaurants (Narcoossee's is the only place on the DDP that you can get a whole lobster). Kona is nice, and its inside a resort. You can explore the resort, and still be on the monorail. Tonys sometimes gets a bad wrap, but we went there twice on our last trip, and really enjoyed both meals. Plus its inside MK, so thats always a plus! Good luck choosing, and have a great trip!!!

Choice 1: California Grill (my favorite for food and atmosphere) and Artist Point (trying for the first time in October.) Never been to the other two but their menus and dining reports don't appeal to me personally.

Choice 2: Kona. I did not like Y&Y CS at all but we enjoyed our meal at Kona. It wasn't somewhere I'm rushing back to but it was good.

Choice 3: ANYWHERE but Tony's! Never been to The Wave but I would go almost anywhere other than Tony's. I thought it was horrible. Great location, but horrible food. If you're looking for TS in or around MK, I would probably pick Grand Floridian Cafe or The Plaza before the other two though, just my opinion.

1. We preferred Cali Grill and Artist Point to Flying Fish, but out of those 3, I would pick CG + the one closest to where you're going to be. We haven't tried Narcoossee. FF had FANTASTIC appies and desserts, but the main courses were disappointing in our experience.

2. We preferred Kona Cafe to Y&Y. In fact, Y&Y was the only restaurant in which I have ever found the tip of a kitchen worker's latex glove in my food. Major gross out!!! I want to try it again, but every time I think of it, I feel sick!

3. We've never tried Tony's or The Wave, but based on reviews we've read here, we plan to try The Wave and avoid Tony's next trip.

Have fun!

Artists Point and Flying Fish (CG is good too, but these two are two of my favorites on property)
Kona (I love it here, breakfast is better. Y&Y is bad either)
The Wave (never had a good meal or service at Tonys and never had anything but awesome at the Wave)

Choice 1-Narcoose & Cali Grill
Choice 2- Kona
Choice 3- Neither - hop on the monorail & go to the Grand Floridian Cafe

1) I went to all four this past week. Would definitely pick California Grill and Flying Fish –No contest. Best food.

Narcoose's is great if you like lobster but the potato wrapped snapper at Flying Fish was amazing. The lobster at Narcoose's was nothing I can't get everyday in NH (but I guess if you don't live in NH...)

Also, consider Citrico's, we had an awesome meal there too.
