Exactly...it can't be that hard to determine if the only thing left is HC, just say that at the time of booking and let me decide.:D
Also, the same goes for NS, I don't understand why that can't be a category rather than a request.

A great question, btw.

Gonna couch my reply in terms that I think are "doable" - something Disney could actually offer us that isn't unreasonable. It'd be value to us, and tend to keep us on property more.

(1) The same discounts that are available to Florida residents - the seasonal passes, the 4 day passes that are available through AAA (an amazing deal on admission media!), the dining perks, etc. For you Florida residents, I know this won't help y'all...

(2) Fastpass privileges such as Universal offers to folks staying in their resorts

(3) and, the ever-popular online reservation option, along with being able to see our accounts in real-time, so we can bank and borrow intelligently.

As an aside, the last time we were at VWL, there was flooding on the first floor, and according to the CM who checked us in, "literally, the only room we have left of any size is a handicapped studio." It wasn't that big of a deal to us, but, I wonder, if we'd pitched a fit, would we have been given lodging in another resort? It sure would've been the right thing to do. We were fine (I tend to pick and choose my battles carefully), but wouldn't have hesitated to ask for concessions if I felt it was worth it.

I would like to see the giving out of handicapped rooms to people who did not ask for them to be stopped. (SNIP) If it means a little loss in revenue so be it. Is there any changes you would like to see??:D

Brings up visions of dozens of empty handicapped parking spots in front of a business that I parked 1/4 of a mile away from in a different lot because there was no non-handicapped spots left where I was going. I do agree they should at least mention it at check-in so you can arrange a change if it is truly an issue.

I still think the only thing I really want is for them to start building OKW sized rooms again. 6 Adults in a non-OKW 1-2BR unit living room just ain't fun. Unless you're playing twister.

without a doubt, DISCOUNTED ANNUAL PASSES at around the Florida residents' rate!!!

You would think, as 'owners' of Florida property, albeit timeshares, we could get the AP pass and other FL discounts.

I'd love to see a BCV, BC and YC dedicated bus, dropping Swan & Dolphin, especially on early park entry mornings.

10% discounts on any merchandise in the parks / downtown. I'd settle for this being available just on "Member Days" (i.e. Tuesdays only) or even only to those wearing an "I'm a Member - Ask Me" button while in the parks.

How about priority seating at Fantasmic on one set night of the week?

Better Disney Dollar and other programs for DVC and Visa card holders who use their card to buy/ book Disney related items.

Member phone ressie hours extended (like 7am - 9pm)

My 2-cents

And last but not least I really would like to see Disney enforce rules and penalize those who break them. Such as loud noise, more people in a room that what is allowed, smoking in areas that are prohibited, littering and etc. Maybe penalizing those who are DVC members by loss of some points for a year would make people who rent out points to just anyone a little more accountable.

I love this idea. It may make people think twice before they mistreat things, steal things, etc. I think it will also cut down on those renting points as a business if the member is held responsible for any problems in the room. I've always wondered why DVC doesn't hold the owners more responsible for what happens in the units. I have stayed at other timeshares where they really enforce this.

I agree with many of the suggestions here in terms of discounts, on line reservations and point tracking, etc.

In the interest of keeping it fresh, I'll toss one other one out there.

I'd like to see every DVC resort break its views down to two views. I would not like to see them re-allocate points based on the views, just break them apart like the BWV Preferred Boardwalk and the BWV Preferred Pool/Garden.

I think that owning at a resort should carry more benefit than just the 11 month booking window. Go ahead and break up the views so the people owning there get first crack at the choice views.

Just a thought...I mean, if they can do it for BWV (three view categories, actually), then they can probably do it for all the resorts.

The curious thing about this suggestion is that we really don't care all that much about the views...they don't make or break our vacations as they seem to do for others. But anything that reduces the check-in stress should be a win for both DVC owners and front desk CM's!

My one and only request would be better discounts on tickets.....preferably like the Florida residents.

I would like to see DVC put a halt to members who make a business out of selling their DVC points. I realize that sometimes it's unavoidable and I've sold points myself that came along with an add-on and were expiring in two months, but people who just make a business out of it really bother me. I think DVC should view them as competition and since it's their property they should shut them down.
It's our resort, not theirs. They could not legally preven one renting out what they own.

Well, the comercial use clause could easily be enforced to prevent this practice. However, this thread should not turn into the age old comercial rental of points debate.

I would love to see the member's website changed so we can request our reservations online and change existing reservations online, including our preferences for non-smoking and non-handicap. I would love to see where the "open villas" were and make plans accordingly (similar to what we have with Interval and being able to select with instant confirmation). That would allow us to see when a favorite time is filling up and whether we needed to get our reservations in. Perhaps not as many members would immediately grab a reservation at 11 months at their home resort and change it later if they were able to see that the resort they really wanted was going to still be available.

This is number one for me, too!

I would love to have park pass disounts, especially like those available for those who live in Florida. We would definitely go to the parks more often. On some of our trips, we go to US/IA instead of WDW, or we golf or go on day trips. But if we had the same great discounts for APs, we'd spend more money at the parks, restaurants, etc. Besides, I feel that we are Floridians since we own part of a DVC resort. DVCers are the most committed, enthusiastic, and loyal guests they'll ever have. Why not reward us for that commitment, enthusaism, and loyalty?? Most organizations reward their "frequent fliers", "biggest spenders", "preferred customers", etc. We've all made a very large investment in Disney, can't they throw some crumbs our way??

I would also like to have more DVC merchandise available.
