I have been to WDW around 10 times, maybe more....I really can't remember. Anyway, I have never been to DL. So to all of you that have been to DL and WDW, what do you wish you could bring from DL and put it in WDW? It can be attractions, restaurants, shop, anything and once they were brought over from DL, where would they go in WDW? :Pinkbounc

Great thread...never been to DL so would love to see some responses!!!

The facade of Its a Small World, the Indiana Jones ride and the Matterhorn(an older ride but fun).

The facade of Small World; the proximity of DL to DCA and to DTD and to the hotels. You can really stay at Disneyland Hotel and WALK everywhere....not only don't you need to drive, you don't need a bus or a boat or anything! The lower prices at the hotels...they would be considered "Deluxe" at WDW, but the prices are quite a bit lower.

The Blue Bayou restaurant with its famous Monte Cristo sandwich and great views of Pirates of the Carribean... The facade of the Haunted Mansion and New Orleans Square... Indiana Jones ride... and Pirates which is much better than at WDW!!!!

For sure I would love to see the Small World and Haunted Mansion holiday at WDW! I have never seen it at DL (never been to DL, first time will be next Sept), but heard it's awesome!

Also, from what I've heard, I'd love to see the Maliboomer, Screaming and Indiana Jones rides, not sure where to put them tho. Indy would fit in well at MGM I'm sure, but not sure about the others.

I'll probably think of others!!

As much as I love WDW I also love DL!

The rooms in the DL Hotel were huge and gorgeous....and yes, the price was so much better that the deluxe prices at WDW.

As far as rides, it would be great to have the Indiana Jones ride in WDW, the PoC version from DL, the facade from It's a Small World, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (bring it back!), the DL version of Fantasmic. Can't think of anything else!

:sunny:

CA Screaming - awesome roller coaster

The entire new orleans square - best "land" in either park

Indiana Jones - one of the best rides ever

Alice in Wonderland - best dark ride ever

Alice in Wonderland ride & DL's version of Fantasmic! (SO much better than WDW's)

Adding another: as said above Pirates of the Carribean, it is much better in DL!!

Still a favorite of mine (and I'm 38) - the Storybook Canal ride - I love to go on this at night. Also the Casey Jr Circus train - my ds loves it a lot. Both are DL Fantasyland classics IMO

The Matterhorn and Indiana Jones.

Also, New Orleans Square including Blue Bayou restaurant and Club 33!!!

We LOVE DL! We are getting used to WDW! Sorry everyone!

Favorites I miss when we go to WDW are:

1. Blue Bayou Restaurant
2. Pirates
3. Haunted Mansion during Holidays
4. Indy Jones
5. Small World
6. Matterhorn (when it is operational)
7. Soarin over California (coming to Epcot)
8. Mulholand Madness (spelling?)
9. Grizzly Peak (better than Kali)
10. Being able to walk from the parks to DTD and hotels!

Oh boy-- never been to DL. However, I've been really wanting to go. DH thinks I'd be disappointed with it. By this thread-- I think we'd have a great time. Going to have to start looking more seriously at the idea.

Indy, Matterhorn, NO Square (including the Dixieland Band that plays there) and.....

The Original Enchanted Tiki Room!

What is the area around DL like? I've heard it's crowded and somewhat rundown. Also, is MK at DL the same size as WDW--bigger or smaller?
