What would you do? WDW or Disney Cruis Line??

I think that you can't go wrong! ;) I am also thinking of our next Disney vacation and I also can't decide. Since we've already done two 7-night DCL, cruises, I'm afraid the 3-4 night cruise would feel too short, so a split vaca is likely not an option for us, either. Have you watched the Disney cruise line DVDs? Are you open to watching together & asking your kiddo her thoughts? My kids (4 & 7) go back & forth all the time on their prefernce. They aren't big "rides" kids either. You'll have fun together no matter your choice - good luck!

Despite the fact that my wife and I love DCL (as a previous poster said, you are on the DCL board). I recommend DCL over WDW simply because you have never tried cruising before. And a four night cruise is a good way of dipping your toes in the water to see if it's right for you and your daughter. There are plenty of options each and every day to choose from in the Navigator; so it's hard to complain that you're bored. You may find that there are too many choices and will have to miss an activity to participate in another. And the DCL shows are rated high in the cruise line industry each and every year. And I don't think you will ever feel as PAMPERED while in WDW vs. DCL. And of course the excursions to choose from while in Nassau and on Disney's Castaway Cay can make for an adventure that you will never have at WDW. I would recommend renting a bike on CC, it's a great way to explore the island. Plenty of places to pull off and explore on foot.

I would also say to try the cruise. If you are Disney fans I think you will love it. To me it has all the best parts and magic of WDW (minus rides) but in a more relaxing setting!

Definitely the cruise. I didn't even think I would like cruising before trying a Disney cruise. Now I know it's one of the most relaxing vacations out there. WDW is fine but I find it exhausting - in fact, I'm not going back unless my son begs! Cruising is much more relaxing!

Thank you all for your ideas and suggestions.
I have officially started planning and saving for a cruise in April 2017.
I thought it would be a good idea to step out of my comfort zone and try something new and different.
I'm already so excited!!! :yay:

I'm a huge fan of WDW (and DL), and I'm also a huge fan of DCL. Since you've already been to WDW several times within the past few years, I would say go on the cruise for the new experience.

After you've done the cruise, you can reflect back on what you like best about both the cruise and the parks and figure out how best to spend your Disney vacation money for the next time... Disneyland, maybe? :)

We just did a 5 night cruise then 4 days in the parks. My wife and I prefer the cruise 10/1. when we asked our little girl she said the parks. If you haven't been on a DCL cruise you owe it to yourself to try, it really is as incredible as everyone says. But if you've never been to the parks by all means that should be your first choice.

Hi all...
I've been thinking about a trip in early May for my DD (9) and I.
We've been to WDW twice in the last 4 years and are huge Disney fans.
She's not a fan of big rides, but we still have lots of fun in the parks.
I've heard and read so many good reviews of the Disney Cruise Line that it could be an option to do something different this time. The difference in price won't be that much to be a deal breaker.
We've never been on a cruise before so that would be a whole new experience.
I'm just thinking that we would miss being in a different park each day and walking around.

The options would be:
A. 7 day trip to WDW staying at POP Century and visiting 3 parks and a waterpark
B. 4 day Bahamian cruise on Disney Dream

What would you do? Or what are your thoughts on my dilemma?

Thanks in advance :-)

DCL Cruises are a blast and you may get hooked on it! We say try the Cruise. We had already visited WDW around 15 times before trying a cruise. Now we can say we have been on more cruises than WDW since the time we started.
