What would you do, possible last min. trip for a long weekend in Oct.????

Decided today that we might go to Disney third week in Oct. for 4 nights. I booked a room and when I saw airfare prices I was like WHOAH. We have not flown down since spring break 2013. We have driven the last few trips. We have friends going that weekend and so this all happened so fast this morning. I wanted to grab a room first. SOooooo.....should I hold off until Tuesday to book airfare in hopes that it goes down?? I have always purchased airfare on T or W because I have always heard that it is cheaper to book mid week than to book on a weekend. I know I can always get a credit too if it goes down on SW. DECISIONS DECISIONS. TIA

I doubt it will go down...not at this late date. I would book when you see a fare you can live with. Note I didn't say 'happily live with'!!!!
