What would you do differently?

I would make sure to stay on site. My last trips before the college program I had stayed offsite and that was a BIG mistake. The last time the bus quit running from the hotel to the parks around 2 pm so we had to hire a taxi to take us. I will never stay offsite again unless I have a car.

I love this thread!

I wished I had purchased a photo album from the World with the year on it (last year, 2002). That way, when I look back at previous trips, I know exactly where and when I went just by looking at the cover.

I hear that one!! Learned it 14 yrs ago. Ten yrs ago I learned that the four night package was NOT long enough if I was going with people who have never been there before.

Our last trip was just hubby and me. It was the first time we had got on a plane and gone somewhere together, so we learmed a lot about each other's traveling habits. We overpacked a little, but. otherwise it was perfect!

I would not agree to go with my soon-to-be former sister-in-law! Boy, did that woman know how to ruin a trip! Some people are so far gone that even pixie dust can't help them!

I would be pickier about my room assignment at check-in. It doesn't hurt to ask for a better room, no matter how cheap a code you have, and it would have made my stay more magical.

I would NOT make all my PS arrangements in advance. I ended up changing most of them after our arrival...with no problems at all by the way.

I would NOT do E-Night unless it is peak period and hot.

I would try a water park.

I would stay at the resort more.

I would not overplan.

I would sleep in rather than try to do EE all the time. When we did EE we found that we never felt like staying out in the evenings, even with an afternoon break. I only saw Illuminations and Fantasmic once each this trip (usually a couple times at least!). I guess we are getting old.

I would buy Disney shirts/stuff before leaving for vacation and save tons of money. What is there about WDW that compels you to buy shirts and silly hats?

Although my fiance and I had a great time, there are some things I will do differently next time.

1. Slow down and relax more.

My fiance had only been once when he was little and didn't remember much. I wanted to show him everything, so I would get a little annoyed when he would be laying in bed at 8:00 in the moring while I was at the door waiting to go. I can't help it, I'm just so excited when I'm at Disney World. I like to get there when the parks open. On our honeymoon I have promosed him I will calm down just a little bit.

2. I will not make a day by day itinerary. ( OK, I have a partial one in my head now for our 04 trip, but I promise I will not write it down and keep it in my pocket the whole trip ! )

3. Take more pictures.

4. Admit when I am tired and need a break !

Came home in 2002 and realized I had a ton of beautiful pictures of WDW and very few of my girls.

This year, I made sure I had more pictures of the girls such as sitting by the parade route. Who cares if I got a picture of every float in a parade, I made sure I had a picture of the girls too.

It seems obvious but taking a picture of them hugging in their bathing suits is priceless.
