What would YOU do at DHS?

We are checking into POR late morning in December, and doing DHS that day. DHS is not an all-day thing for us, so I am considering my eating options at POR or DTD, since there are not many well-loved eateries at the park. Which of these sounds best?

Since POR only has one option for dining, I would choose Downtown Disney. Lots of choices from Wolfgangs to T-Rex to House of Blues or even McDonalds. There's bound to be something there that will appeal to everyone.

Thanks. We will be on DXDDP, so I am trying to find the best options on the plan. DH will NOT do McDonalds for sure! And I'm thinking brunch at WPE is best, as I will go for breakfast, and he will want lunch.

Remember that dinner options are available in the Boardwalk area which are either a 15-20 minute stroll or a friendship boat ride away from DHS. Most of the TS on the dining plan are 2 credits but Kouzzina (the new one replacing Spoodles on Sept. 17th) is 1 credit.

Sci fi dine in or 50's prime time cafe are always favorites of our and very entertaining and have great themes.

I picked Sci-Fi and 50's PTC only because they're both at the same park. We stayed at POR in July and we thought that the close proximity to DTD would make for a great and quick dinner after our afternoon break before heading back to the parks. We were wrong, lol. Catching a bus back to POR took quite awhile and the boat ride was also pretty time consuming, not to mention the time spent waiting for the bus from POR back to DHS.

If time isn't an issue at all, then I'd say go for WPE and 50's PTC.

Brunch at Wolfgang's and dinner at 50s PTC is the way I would go! I've never had a good experience at Sci Fi...

Sooo... everyone basically agrees that if I must choose between SciFi and 50PT, the best option is 50PT?

You could take the boat from DHS to the Boarkwalk, Swan/Dolphin or Yacht Club/Beach Club for dinner. We always found that pretty easy to do.
