What would you do - adding guests

I booked a room for my in laws using my points. We’re all traveling together (I booked 3 studios).

Our local cousin is going to come to the Christmas party one night - when I say local I mean he lives near Naples so like 3 hours away.

Should I add him to my in laws room just for the party night so he can get access to the resort and part, or should I just add him to the full reservation since their room holds 4 and they only have 2 people in there so he can use the hotel amenities in case he is able to come early the day of the party and use the pool with us.

If it were us, I'd just add the extra guest for the whole stay since you have capacity on the reservation. It will simplify your situation. But keep in mind that person would have access to the room and potentially charging privileges, too! So make sure your in-laws are aware, and perhaps restrict some things!

You can’t add them for just one night ahead of time. So, you’d be adding him as a day guest and sometimes the front desk CMs mess things up.

Just add him for the stay.

I believe that he can't charge to the room unless he has a PIN. Just don't give him one!

I would just add him to the length of stay. Much easier, you can do that right online.
