We are going on a last minute vist to SL for 2 nights at the begining of dec we are driving as eurostar is pretty pricy when we factor in having to get a cab to london (£90 return) as i dont do the underground so are driving. Now we are only staying 2 nights in SL but as dd is 2 years i am thinking we might be better to leave home at 3pm on the wednesday and get to paris that evening and stay overnight somewhere else so that we get 2 full days in the parks and then leave disney on the saturday lunchtime to head home. My logic being that on the last day we just want to get home so prob wont do the parks plus being a sat it will be busy so i think if we left home thursday morn we prob wont get there til 1pm ish on the thursday meaning thursday afternoon and all day friday in parks so it hardly seems worth it. What do you think??? Leave wednesday afternoon and drive all the way to paris and stay overnight in santa fe (can get it for £50 ro) or drive down thirsday morning??? Or just pay the extra for the eurostar???

I'd definitely go Wednesday, stay overnight at DLP or nearby, then head for the SL and the parks first thing Thursday morning :).

Its personal preference, if I do a 2 night stay I get a really early crossing to get to Disney, last time I got to the hotel at 11am. I'm fortunate as I live not too far from the Docks or Tunnel. Another option might be is to get a travelodge near the tunnel or ferries cheap to stay the night before & leave early for a crossing

If you can deal with the extra day I would vote for travelling the night before and staying near DLP too.
You could drop your car off early at Sequoia Lodge even though room might not be ready. Then nip back at some point in time to check in and unload your cases from the car.

Thanks guys, roy is going to see if he can get off work at 3pm and i will pick him up with the car packed and get straight on the road, aim to get to the tunnel by 5ish and then should be in disney by 10pmish so 9pm our time and hopefully isabelle wont be too disorintated! Thanks again :thumbsup2

If not the premier inn 5 mins from the tunnel is a good alternative.

£39 for the night and a nice early train across. About 3 hour drive but can be there for 11 anyway.

Alternatively the Etap at Calais has had some good deals some times - just over £40.

Thanks, i can get the santa fe for £50 so i think we are going to do that imstead, we are only 1.5 hours from the tunnel so i know i could get up really early and get there earlier but i need my sleep lol! Thanks again :thumbsup2
