Ok... Opinions please!

We are doing a 2 bedroom at BWV for the weekend of May 17-20 for our wedding (already reserved). My 19 year old son will be there and he is leaving Sunday. We are planning to then move Sunday to a 1 bedroom, but I would have to "rent" points by having them transferred. This would add about $700 (if standard view). However, we can do a studio with our points (with standard) and have no additional cost. We would check out Friday. Saving money would be ideal, but we just stayed at Saratoga Springs in a studio and I never used the laundry facilities bc they were soooo far away and would have to walk outside.

If it was your "disneymoon", would you spend the money or stay in the studio? We will have free annual passes... I am sooooo confused. :confused3 My practical side says to do the studio, while my princess side says to splurge on the 1 bedroom and take advantage of space and laundry (bc I would pack less too).

It;s your "Disneymoon". Go ahead and splurge on this one. :)

Don't forget about the jacuzzi tub and the king bed.

Plenty of time next trip to save points and stay in a studio.

This is a special trip. Indulge and enjoy yourselves. There are times to save and times to splurge. This is one of the times to treat yourselves! :)

Honeymoon? Spend the bucks. I'm cheap (cheap, I tell you) and even I dropped big cash on my honeymoon, and I still don't regret one penny.

LOL! I am just going to have to book the one bedroom and tell him later. :rolleyes1

Now to see about getting a points transfer....

I gave into addonitis so that I could stay in a 1BR all the time. So i think you know my answer. :lmao:

We did a small 100 point contract at SSR a couple of weeks ago. We got the 100 2011 points so using that and the 2012 points (this was supposed to be a promotion - but I seriously think it is standard). We are talking about doing an add-on via re-sale. 50-100 pts should do it!!! I don't know how much we would use the points for other trips anyway. We are Disney peeps! :cool1:

1br. We have always stayed in a studio but now we have a 1 year old.Never again. Always will be a 1br. Spend it!!

$700 to me is a lot of money. So would go with a studio. Unless you can pay cash for these points and it will not hurt your budget. remember you will spend money at WDW.

get congress park - then the laundry mat is near the pool at CP. so you can go swimming while you wash the clothes.

it worked that way for grandstand too.

Are you already in a standard view 2-BR? If so, I would go with a 1BR and see if you can stay in the 1BR side of your 2-BR unit. If you think you'll have to move anyway, why not save the $700 and stay in a studio? That $700 would go a long way ... it would even probably pay for the DDP for you.

I would certainly spend the money and get the 1 bedroom. After spending time in the 2 bedroom, you will not want to go back to the studio.

Have fun!!!

Yep. The jacuzzi tub is my favorite thing about DVC. And I certainly consider it a honeymoon essential. ;)

You can be frugal later.

No brainer!!!!!!!! GET THE 1 BEDROOM!!!! Have a wonderful HONEYMOON!!!! :bride:
