We leave for our trip to Disney in 17 days. My son goes to daycare one day a week and will be starting on the 8th. Due to my work schedule he has been out of daycare for more than 4 months. When he was in daycare he was always getting sick. should I send him to daycare for the 2 Tuesdays before our trip or keep him hone. What would you do. I do have someone that will watch him for me for no charge if i decide to keep him home. TIA

If keeping him out of daycare is an option for those 2 days, I'd do it in a heartbeat. If he tends to pick up "bugs" easily, I'd want to avoid any possible exposure prior to vacationing.

I hope you ALL stay well and have a great time!:wizard:

I own an inhome daycare and the "newbies" always tend to get sick with runny noses and such the first couple of weeks because their immune systems aren't use to being around so many other children.

If you have a chance to keep him out of daycare before you leave, please do it!

I would keep him home. A lot of kids are getting sick around here already, and school just started. There is some kind of virus/cold going around.

Keep him home!! School has been in for less than 2 weeks here and we are all sick right now. I have also heard of another kid at my son's school who came home with Strep Throat and bronchitis the first week.

I'd definitely keep him home; way too high a chance of him getting sick in a new environment; so since you can avoid it, I'd recommend you do. At some point developing immunity is a good thing, just not right before a Disney trip.

Yes, keep him home!! I am trying to keep my little monkeys away from all "germy" people until we leave in 15 days. Luckily I stay home with them and we homeschool-so hopefully we'll be ok!! :thumbsup2 Have a great trip!
