1. arrive in FL early am
2. get to AK by 11:30 am
3. leave by 430pm and drive to hotel to check in w/ luggage, etc.
4. go to Magic Kingdom for 8pm Crystal Palace 1st nite dinner on Main St.
5. go on dumbo ride if time or look thru main st store

we are only going to these things at AK:
1. dinosaur
2. kilamnjro safari
3. kali rapids

But here are the things I wanted to point out...

I'm hoping the day you arrive is not an EE day at AK, otherwise it's going to be crowded. Arriving at 11:30 I would send one person (who's the fastest?) to grab fast passes from KRR while everyone else heads towards KS. The FastPass runner will then meet you at the entrance to KS. It's easier for one person to navigate the crowds than for a group to.

If by the time your group is off KS you are eligible for another fastpass, have the runner go get FP for Dinosaur and meet you at KRR.

Of course this may not be totally necessary, you didn't say when you are going. Depending on the time of year it may not be necessary to get FP's, stand-by lines may be manageable.

I think if all you intend to do at AK are these three things you should be able to get it all done in that amount of time, especially if you use FP for at least one ride.

I would bet that you will need to arrive at MK by 6pm to ensure that you can ride dumbo, if not, take a leisurely stroll through main street on your way to CP.

It will take a bit to get your luggage and rental car if you are flying into MCO...

I suggest maybe you go to hotel first, get things in room and then head to AK, saves a lot of back tracking.

Visit AK and then go to MK for touring before your dinner at 8pm...

Just my two cents on it, I try and arrange things for optimum time with less driving since you are coming from the airport anyway.

Hmmm...I'm not sure that's very efficient. If I'm not mistaken that's Columbus Day weekend so the MK's going to be VERY crowded, especially if it's a Saturday, and I think it might be (tried to figure it out in my head based on your countdown, so I'm not sure I got the day right.) I think it's safe to say that Dumbo will be out unless that's the only thing you want to do that night. Personally, I wouldn't want to spend an hour + waiting in line for it, while missing Spectro and/or Wishes, KWIM?

I would either just stay at AK until close and do more than you've listed, then have a counter service (or earlier sit-down) dinner at MK and grab a spot for Spectro and/or Wishes...OR, I would do dinner at 'Ohana or another resort and save MK for the next day...OR, save AK for another day and go just to MK for dinner and relaxing things if it's really important to you to be there the first day.

I'd definitely go straight to the hotel. Your room may be ready. If room is ready, take a little rest and then head to AK. Stay until closing and go straight to MK. You won't need 5 hours at AK to see three attractions.

Should we skip MK for Saturday altogether and just go on Sunday?
Where should we eat our first "DISNEY" dinner then????
help!

to your dinner reservation at CP! Go, have a wonderful time! Go in with low expectations that you will actually achieve any rides, then, if you do, it's a bonus. The MK is a wonderful place to spend an evening even if all you do is soak up the atmosphere! You don't say who is in your party but if you have young children with you, take the train from the front back around to toontown. Hang out, play, tour the houses. You'll have a fabulous time just being there!

thanks, we will go to hotel first and see if room is ready, req. early check in....will seee.

not sure of crystal palce anymore...... anyone been lately?
