Ok... I am a dental hygienist so my schedule at work gets booked out 6 months in advance. We are planning a disney trip Sept 19-24 and I will have to block this out of my schedule probably beginning of March, before free dining is announced (see where I am going here?) Well I was also checking flights and they are about 110.00 right now which is about 80.00 cheaper per person than normal, so would you go ahead and buy tickets for this since I will be pretty much be locked into those dates anyway, and do you think its a good guess for free dining on those dates?

Thanks for the help!

How much of a change fee would you have to pay if the Free Dining deal doesn't work out for any reason? Would you still go those dates if you got another good deal at WDW?

I think the odds of getting Free Dining on your dates are excellent, so it's a safe gamble, but you need to have a contingency plan in case WDW doesn't offer Free Dining this year or changes it in some way where you didn't want it.

if you are willing to take the chance if Free dinning is not offered-- and would go either way then i would say do for it and get the good price-- you never know what will happen with the economy between now and Sept and how that might effect the prices of flights-- if it was me-- i would prob take the chance-- since it seems like it should fall within free dinning dates:) good luck!! we always go in sept also and are planning a Sept 10-20 trip:cool1: -- i have no clue how i am going to make it all the way to sept:( i am still hoping for a short trip in may:rotfl2:

I feel the same way Sept seems so far off, and then I feel like I am already wishing my summer away. I think my favorite thing about vacation is the anticipation though, I love the planning (obviously) and dreaming about it. I think we will probably go free dining or not, but I will be mad at myself if I miss it by a few days and end up costing more money trying to save money :) I am such a nervous nilly spending money.... I think I should just go for it:faint: Take a leap of faith

Thanks, Heather

You should be fine.Remember as long as you check in on the last official day of the free dining promotion you are eligible for it the rest of you trip.Last day for free dining last year was 9/20.

If this is right, I would say to book your dates one week earlier just to be extra safe. Is that an option for you? That way if they cut back on the days any (and if I remember right, they did that from 2007 to 2008) then you are still covered. :goodvibes

We booked the bounceback while there in September 2008 for 2009. Our travel dates are September 20 - 29.

Yeh, we booked 2009 bounceback too and our dates are Sept. 25-30 (maybe we'll see you at CSR!). I booked bounceback the year before though also and the regular (not bounceback) free dining dates last year were not as long as the bounceback offer. The regular free dining ended Sept. 20th and my bounceback free dining was good through my dates which were Sept. 26 -Oct. 1, 2008. So I don't think she can count on the dates being as long as the bounceback offer is.

Thanks...I didn't realize that. Maybe we can hook up at Siesta's! :goodvibes

The bounceback prmotion and the UK free dining dates are usually not exactly the same as the general public free dining and are usually longer than it too.So Don't go by the Bounceback dates or Uk dates..unless you are on those promotions.

Free dinning is usually announced in the beginning of April for Aug /Sep.
Free Dinning usually goes from the end of Aug to the end of Sep.
My GUESS is it's from 8/23 to 10/1. They are the dates that I have from my bounceback offer. But not sure if that will be the same offer for April.

Bounceback offers are not always the same as the regular gen.public offer. In the past the bounceback dates have been longer than the gen. public offer.
