What would they uncover if you were to run for public office?

I wouldn't even try. And of course if any one of 1/2 of the people I know ran for office....they so would be busted too! LOL!

People that know me are completely shocked when I tell them that, years ago, the police came to my place of employment ( I still work there) and hauled me away, without cuffs to spare me the embarrassment, which didn't help much BTW.
My coworkers think, actually, they know, that I am a goody 2 shoes. LOL
My crime, unpaid parking tickets, about $30 worth. In those days it was buy baby formula or pay parking tickets.
Must have been a dull day at the station.

DH got that one too! Cops hauled him away to the station, I had to post bail ($200) all on a Friday afternoon right before the bank closed!!!! It says something about the city we lived in. Less crimes = round 'em up for unpaid parking tickets!

I think they'd discover that I think pit bull laws are really pointless and stupid (enough to get me banned from running for office in MA) and that I like to go to Rennasaince Faires and collect swords (that would also not go over well in MA) and that I hate political correctness and I think it's wrong for people to take little kids to R rated movies at 11 o'clock at night. I have a good friend who is going to prison for a crime he did not committ and for that I loathe and am sickened by our criminal justice system. That would not help my case much either. Oh and I like to take pictures of graveyards.

Overall, I'd say I don't have much of a chance. I better just drop out...

Jeez, It's been like 4 years but I think I have some unpaid parking tickeys that my ex racked up on my old car. I can't afford to pay them. So , maybe I'll get hauled away too.

Just the DIS board posts? They'd have a lot of dirt to dig through, on the F&G board anyway..lol.

I wonder how many people turn away from political life, people that could have been very capable (and thick-skinned !), because of the intense scrutiny their pasts would undergo, and the one or two very old mistakes, that could trip them up and hound them forever? Too many.....
