What would be your preferred mode of transportation?

We have a BBB reservation at Magic Kingdom at 8:05 on a day that MK opens at 09. I was warned several times by the lovely CM that made my reservation that I was not to count on Disney transportation to get me and my troops to MK in time and that I MUST have another route of transporation. So what would you do?

We will have a car, so one option is to drive ourselves.

We could take a cab. But if we take a cab, will it drop us off at TTC or at the front gates of MK like Disney buses do?

Or we could take a chance with the Disney buses.

There is a character bus leaving from each of the resorts ...it is specifically there to transport guests to BEFORE park opening activities (mostly character breakfasts).

Ask one of the bus drivers at your resort about the bus (I have found that the resort concierge desk often doesn't know much about it).

It reliably got dd and I to 3, 8am character meals before park openings (including CRT) from the Wilderness Lodge on our mom and dd trip!

We were ok with parking there and walking the path to MK.

This would be my choice also. Usually you are given a 3hr parking pass at the CR so someone will need to go back and move the car. I assume there are two adults so not everyone will need to go back to move the car. Whoever does get stuck with this task will most likely be missing for close to an hour.

Sure, you could drive. But the cast member wasn't accurate in saying you can't rely on the Disney Transport buses.

Buses start running from the resorts to the parks around 6:30 a.m. every day of the year. Cinderella's Royal Table and Crystal Palace, both of which are also inside Magic Kingdom, open at 8:00 a.m., so Disney knows it has to get lots of people to MK early, not just you.

Oh please...when will CMs stop giving out bad info??!!! It's enough to drive me nutty. This CM gave you very bad advice. Disney buses start running to the MK no later than 6:30 am..sometimes they are running at 6:15!!! To be at MK for 7:45 (that's when you should arrive in order to be at BBB for 8:05), be out at the bus stop no later than 7. I would be out there by 6:45-6:50, but I tend to be really early for everything. If you wait past 7, you may not get a bus until close to 7:20ish, which would just barely get you to MK for 7:45.
