What would be the best use year for us?

If my wife and I like to travel either early december or sept/october, given use years really only come into play for cancelling ressies, what would be good/bad use years for us (sorry just can't wrap my head around this yet)

Some will argue that UY does not matter. But if you feel that you will need to cancel reservations, then an August UY seems right for you imo. By having an August UY, you can bank up to 100 % of your points by the end of January.
