What words do you overuse?

"Yeah sure" "Okay" and "Whatever" are my current favorites.

GetOUTof here....I'm a NYer... :teeth:

Lately I say SOUL PATROL too much, too!! :dancer:

I say Geez o Petes way too much. I even find ways to make it more annoying by adding to it. Like Geez o petezels or Geez o peteies. I can't stop. I also say "evidentally" in just about every sentence. So annoying.

The word my boyfriend uses all of the time that drives me crazy is "dude". It always reminds me of Spiccoli from Dazed and Confused and seeing how it's 2006 that word should never, ever be used. Whenever we hang out with a bunch of people and are getting ready to leave he yells out "Later dudes!". And I cringe. I almost go to put my hand over his mouth whenever we leave places. :teeth:

"Actually". I also catch my DS :earsboy: saying it all the time. I wonder where he gets it from. :rotfl:

THANK GOD I'm not the only one who uses "like" so much. My Dh is constantly making fun of me for it.
I feel so immature when I say it and wonder if anyone takes me seriously. I've tried to make an effort to stop but it only gets worse and I seem to say it so much more.

Just this morning I realized I must be saying, "Oh my god" quite a bit when DD#1 does something "creative" b/c she looked at me this morning and blurted that out. :rotfl:

I use "actually" way more than I should. But I don't uses "dude" or "like".

My mother uses a term that hits me like nails on a chalkboard--"and/or". She uses that phrase when she's telling a story, not as a choice. Usually what she means is "or" as in, "My friend Bernice went to the ER because of her toenail--you know Bernice, the one who's daughter fell off the dock 15 years ago--oh, that's right you were living in Florida then--Well, her daughter fell off the dock AND/OR she got pushed, we never did find out, but her husband was outta town, and blah blah blah blah...harmonica...savings bonds...blah blah blah....cancerAND/OR fungus."

LOL!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

For me it would be "like" and "Oh my God".

I say "SHUT UP!" all the time. And I don't really mean for that person to shut up. I say it when someone says something unbelievable.

Like Elaine in Seinfeld when she shoved Jerry and said "Shut Up!".

I use the word " well " far to much, everything is " well you know...blah...blah"

"Awesome" would be it for me. I say it waaaayyy too much.

Also:

Holy Mother!

********

****

geeminy Christmas

I'm tired

to the kids: "I'm tired of this crap!" Why did you do that?!" You wanna keep on arguing?!"

:teeth:

"Krikey" and "Jeepers"

I know I must drive people nuts because I drive myself nuts saying them all the time!!
