I've been constantly scouring threads on this Board like What do you do with leftovers or what processed foods do you make from scratch and in both freezing came up. I freeze a bunch of different things that people tell me they never would have thought of, like chopped onions or jalapenos but have also had some failures.

So what won't you freeze? I won't freeze Lettuce or carrots.

Well no. I never considered freezing lettuce! I don't like carrots or green beans that have been frozen, so I don't freeze those either.

I don't freeze cream, milk, or yogurt... And I don't freeze leftovers very often.

I don't freeze salads like macaroni or potato, either.

Is that the sort of thing you were talking about?

I usually only freeze leftovers but you can freeze carrots. You can do without doing anything or by blanching them.

Potatoes by themselves (and sometimes in things) do NOT freeze well.

Bread - I know it can be frozen but do not like it after it is thawed, often seems stale, imo. Plus, there is a sale on a different brand every week and I am not particular about my bread brand so I just buy whatever is on sale each week.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

I tend to toss leftover buns (hamburger, hot dog, rolls, whatever) in the freezer. Then I use them to stuff my turkeys since everyone seems to prefer their dressing to be crispy which just isn't going to happen stuffed inside a turkey. But the leftover buns/rolls fill the space and keep the turkey juicier than baking it unstuffed.

Sorry, I went a little OT

I don't freeze much at all since we just have a tiny freezer right now. I have froze pasta sauce before, it's still in the freezer :rotfl:
