I really have to watch my saturated fat intake--way high cholesterol here. But I cannot eat fat free cheese. It is just another kind of nasty! Yuck. Even my dogs won't eat it.

Well, lets see, according to the box I buy fat free chix broth, but that is fat free no matter what! It always amazes me what they advert as fat free. My attitude is that if I need to go to fat free, I need to change my life style. Give me Pepsi, Cream, and Cheese or give me thunder thighs...

anything dairy except milk. I actually prefer 2% or skim milk but hate anyother low fat dairy. Don't like low fat mayo or margarine either.

For me, its sour cream. The other versions are just not as good. Its worth a few extra calories or fat grams.

Have you tried the Breakstones 40% Reduced Fat kind? It's actually really good, tastes just like the real thing

Ricotta cheese for my lasagna. BLECH!!! Also, all the cheese I put in there is not fat-free, it won't melt if it is.

ETA: I forgot one. When I actually DO cook with butter (like baking or sauteeing mushrooms and onions, hee hee) I use the real stuff. The fat-free/light just doesn't seem to cut it.
