What will YOU do to be a ‘courteous cruiser’……

Thought of another one:

"I will smile at all times. Even if it rains every day, the seas are rough, my excursion are canceled, my meal arrives cold, and my neighbors are loud. I will take it all with a grain of salt and continue to enough myself thoroughly!"

My 'children' are TEENS but still enjoy the Disney Experience -- but it's not the same -- SO -- I will look at the cruise thru the eyes of the little children on board. Enjoy their amazement as they see THE cinderella for the first time! Always let them in front of me to be sure they have time to get their pictures taken with the characters. Understand that crying children are having problems coping with being tired -- and try in my own way to bring a smile to their faces.

I will not expect my room stuard to be at my beckon call 24 hours per day. If my teens sleep until noon -- I will understand that the beds may not get made that morning [by the stuard]-- and I will make it perfectly clear to my stuard that I don' t expect them to stand around trying to finish up their morning duties while waiting for my teens to rise. When our stuard had off the morning of St.Thomas -- I insisted that she leave our room be and get off the island to enjoy her short time off -- we took care of straightening up the rooms that morning and making the beds -- not a big deal for us but it was a VERY big deal for her!

As irritating as it can get -- I will understand that the island locals are just trying to make a living [Would you like some braids, pretty lady?] and politely say 'no thankyou'. And even though I will probably have to repeat those two words many time during the day - I will not get angry or short tempered with them.

I will make sure that I have all of my paperwork filled out prior to standing in line to check in. That way, everyone's cruise gets off to the right start.

I will remove all those dirty towel from the pools chairs.

I will not curse and scream obscenities at the Capt. if he can't get the Magic docked at Castaway Cay.

ELVATORS (my pet peeve)

If I am getting on an elevator:

I will wait until the people getting off the elevator GET OFF and
then I will get on the elevator.

If I am waiting for an elevator:

I will respect the people already waiting for the elevator and not
rush on the elevator ahead of them, (even if I am going to be late for a show and I am only going up one deck and the person I barge ahead of has been summoned to pick up her child, and this person has a bad knee and cannot walk up 6 decks).

I will also try to teach my children the same as mentioned above.

Tiiigergirl,
Also Toooo funny!!!
If I were to run into you in the dining room, I would have to be 'courteous' and lend you my sweater/jacket!!! Hahahah!!
:teeth:

What a fabulous post!
It should be printed out and handed to all who board a Cruise Ship. Most that I saw on the Wonder where polite, but I was suprised how many rude people I encountered.
Thanks.

I will remind my chidren (and some adults) not to run or shout in the hallways. Remember that they are narrow and not everyone is out of their staterooms and not on your same schedule.

Also, do not throw things (ie garbage, cig butts, paper, old drinks from your refillable mugs) off the boat. Even if you have your own verandah and you think no one can see you.

29 more days to go!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
