What will you celebrate at DL during 2009?

Umm, going to Disneyland :rotfl:

I can't go on my birthday, and unless something comes up, I'll just be going to Disneyland because I go to Disneyland. Nothing wrong with that. I mean let's face it. I'm not exactly in the target audience for this promotion since I go there because it's Disneyland.

OH NO!! What months? You have a birthday in May too, yes?

Yes, but mine is at the end of the month. DD8's birthday is in Dec. but after your DBF's and our anniversary is in August, but after yours! LOL

Well, we don't need a reason either but the girls love going so we will use the promo as a reason. :)

We were already planning to be at WDW in March, 2009 for my birthday when the announcment for the 2009 promotion was made by Disney. The promotion is the reason we selected DL for our August trip as we will now be celebrating my DH's 50th birthday at DL.

Does anyone else think the free fast pass for the day is a better deal than the free admission? I know for my birthday we'll be selecting the free fast pass as I have an AP for WDW. In August though, we don't have APs for DL. I wonder if they'd let us pay for admission and take the fast pass instead as DH's "gift?"

Feb- Maybe I'll convince my parents to go to DL for their anniversary since it's on Valentine's & it's a weekend.
Mar- My DM's b-day; spring break
Apr- My DDad's b-day; Easter
Jul- 4th of July; summer vacation
Sept- My b-day!
Oct- Mickey's Trick or Treat party
Dec- Christmas; New Year's Eve

All the other days I'm @ DLR- My un-birthday!!!

Hooray for celebrations! :wizard:

I think it depends on when you go. I know next week we are going to get DBF the "fun card" so he can buy himself something. He's thinking a new pin book (because the one he has is so full) or maybe new pins.....he's not sure yet but he will get something with that $69. :)

MAN! Close, but no cigar! LOL!

BOO! There should be a thumbs down emoticon!

Man! We NEED to plan a trip around the same time, we always miss each other!

Regarding the complimentary admission at Dl or WDW for one's birthday, if one has a AP or ticket for admission already, then one can ask for a special fast pass, gift card or a ticket for admission for one day for one park, that is good until one's next birthday. The stipulation for these offers to be made is that it must take place on one's actual birthday, in order to receive one of the above offers.
It never hurts to ask though, about a little tweaking of the official rules. The most that will happen is that one receives a polite, I am sorry............or yes we can do that. So I would ask, anyway.

I am ever so much hoping to celebrate my birthday in April at Disneyland. As well as finally having a better job, and losing the 30+ pounds that I did not lose by my trip time this past August. Those are several of my main goals. I still have a great deal of my work cut out for me. So therefore, if one is so inclined, please wish me the best of luck, for I most definitely need it.

Thank you :)

I hope that every one's plans go accordingly and smoothly, and that everyone has an awesome time, and of course a most magical one at that.

We will be celebrating at DL in April my teenage son's milestone of 2 years cancer free!

Bugdozer,

That is awesome about your son! I hope that he continues to be in good health, and that cancer will never even begin to think about returning. It is great to know that he has kicked cancers booty!

I really hope so, maybe our APs for WDW will count for something even if we have just regular admission paid for DL and not AP's? If DL is anything like WDW, that fast past is worth its weight in gold to us as a huge timesaver.

I was reading your post again, and I was actually a bit confused about something, however I believe I understand now. So you will already have a ticket for Dl. correct? In which case, you most certainly can ask for the special fast pass, or anyone of the other alternative gifts. If I have your question wrong, please let me know. Thank you

My husband and I will be celebrating our 15th anniversary, with our 4 children on our first ever trip to DL.

As of right now, my family & I will be celebrating my 21st birthday in January !! :goodvibes

&& many birthdays & maybe anniversaries to come in '09 !! :cheer2:
