I thought it might be a good idea for people to add to this thread the event they are celebrating at DL during 2009. Could be a birthday, anniversary etc.

We are coming from Australia and it will be our honeymoon. It will be my partners 5th time at DL but DD12 and my first!

It is also a surprise trip for DD12 - I am already so excited and when she finds out she will be ecstatic!

I can't wait! :cool1: :yay: :woohoo:

I have one sister who live in Calif. and has been asking us to come and go to DL. I have been to WDW many many times and although I know DL is smaller I am afarid I will be disappointed. But it will be her 50th birthday and she wants us to go. So Dh and another sister along with a neice and nephew will be going to celebrate a brithday and first trips.
Have fun and congradulations on your upcoming wedding.

You can still celebrate your 40th there. Even if you don't get the free day, you can get a pin. :)

We are going at the end of June to celebrate our 20th anniversary and DH's birthday will also occur while we are there. We are going for a week and just booked the Embassy Suites South. :dance3:

We are going in Feb to celebrate my momther being done with her cemo. She is getting her last treatment today. The trip also falls on one of my sister's birthday, she is going to be 25. And its also going to fall on my parents 36th anniversery. And it will my youngerDD's first trip, but she will only be 9 months, so I'm not sure how much she will care, lol. On the other hand my older DD will be 2 1/2 (second trip) and will be so much fun. One last thing, my DH got excepted into the local nursing program and starts in the fall, so this will mostlikly be our last trip till he is all done with school in 3 years. But I'm thinking I may have to slip down in 2010 for a girls trip for the 55th celebration.

We are going to be celebrating at Disneyland throughout the year many things.

I hope to celebrate valentine's day at Disneyland with my husband:lovestruc

In march, my mom and i are going on the Disboard Girl's Only trip... i can't wait to celebrate a mother and daughter trip then!

In april it's our oldest granddaughter's birthday, that sounds like a great thing to celebrate!

In may it's the twinikins birthdays.. so we will celebrate that at Disneyland.

We want to use our annual passes ALOT.:cheer2:

We love Disneyland and are looking forward to making up all sorts of things to celebrate the Disney way.princess:

My husband and I are going to be there for our third anniversary. It should be a fun trip! :lovestruc Congratulations to everyone for their celebrations!!

We also tend to celebrate a lot at DLR!

In March I am celebrating my first time away alone since my DS was born on the Girls Only Trip.

At the end of April we are celebrating the opening of the Food & Wine Festival with a quickie trip.

In June we are bringing my DN for her first ever Disney trip to celebrate her 13th birthday.

Then, in July I hope to celebrate my birthday at DL.

September will be DS's 2nd birthday celebration--we also spent his first birthday at DL, and I hope to make this a tradition as long as possible.

And finally we will wrap up the year with Halloween and Christmas trips!

About the only things we aren't planning to celebrate at DL this year is our anniversary and DH's birthday, but as they both fall in August and we are already planning to go at the end of July and beginning of September, I just don't see it happening... although anything is possible!

DH and I will be celebrating many things this next year - His Birthday, Our 1st Anniversary, My in-laws 28th Anniversary, Halloween, and Christmas :goodvibes

Congrats to everyone for all your celebrations! :woohoo:

Our anniversary is Feb 2, and we will be at DL 2/11-15, so we'll be celebrating that, Valentine's Day, and our first DL trip!

If education expenses and the economy do not do our finances in, we will celebrate my 63rd birthday and my oldest daughters engagement in August. My brother and his family should also be there.
I also work out of the country alot so we will hope that does not interfere.

I'm hoping for a total of 6 trips this year. Far cry from last time we had AP's and did 14 trips but also much more affordable. LOL
We are celebrating DBF's b-day with a trip that starts in 5 days, his b-day is the 7th so it's the day before our last day. :)
We want to celebrate getting new AP's with the girls towards the end of Jan.
We want to celebrate my b-day in May, the 25th
We want to celebrate DD12s 13th b-day in July
We want to celebrate our anniversary in August
And finally DD8s 9th b-day in December. :)

I would love to get down for Mickey's Trick or Treat Party (or Halloween Treat or whatever they call it this year LOL) but don't know if we can make that happen or not......

DH's b-day and DD's first trip to DL is what we will celebrate!

DH and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary next summer by taking a Disney cruise . Also, our DD will be getting married in July and we are giving them DVC points to use for a honeymoon! :goodvibes

We are going to be celebrating Valentine's Day, My 22nd birthday (May 1st), our 6 year anniversary (August 8th), DBF's 23rd birthday (December 5th), and hopefully if they want to go *fingers crossed* my parent's birthday's (Dad will be 55!!! that's a biggie!)!!!

Courtney, we both have important things in the same months but at totally opposite times. :( That makes me sad. :(

We are visiting in May09. Coming from New Zealand.
It will be my childrens ( aged 7 and 4) and husbands first trip ( and I haven't been since 1995!!).
So we will be celebrating our first family trip to Disneyland. Yay!!
