every time i call to ask questions or whatever they ask "what will you be celebrating"

is it worth it to tell a white lie???

Last week when I called and they asked, they actually said "that's too bad!" :scared1:

Can't wait for this promotion to end...

Eh, we just "found" something to celebrate. My wife's 30th birthday is in February, but since we like to go for the Christmas events we are heading out in 2 weeks. However, we are splurging on this trip because it is her 30th, so I guess it's not too off the wall. On a very positive note, I found out this week that I received the job promotion I interviewed for and will begin the Monday following our return from WDW, so I guess that's the newest thing we'll have to celebrate.

My most recent trip to Disney was this past October. My DH and I certainly had something to celebrate. I've been deployed and we reunited in Orlando for a week together before heading for home. When I called to make ADRs, I was surprised by the "what will you be celebrating" question but I told the CM all the same. She seemed to be taking careful note and remarked that she had "added" it to our ressie. But then nothing. Not a word, not a nod, no mention of the celebration at our dinner. Not that I was expecting a hand-out or a pat on the back. It just made me wonder, does anyone know what is supposed to happen if you actually tell them you are celebrating? Or was I just wasting breath and burning up my cell phone minutes?

I wish they wouldn't ask me that question -- we're going to Disney this Christmas because my mom thought it would be an easier way to get through the holidays since my dad just passed away. So every time I've called, and the CM has asked, "what will you be celebrating", it brings me right back to thinking about the loss of my dad. :( Then I start to stutter and have no clue how to answer the question. A couple of times I've muttered, "nothing, my father just passed away. Then, of course, the CM is on the spot instead of me -- although I had no intention of causing them any discomfort or awkwardness. Blech.

That certainly is something to celebrate! We will be going in Feb as, after 8 months, my DH will be back on his 2 week R&R. I told the CM on the phone - who was really kind, but she told me that there wasn't an option for that exact celebration. She told me to tell them at the restaurant that is what we were celebrating. I probably won't say anything to them - but that is what I was told.

Welcome back!!

my birthday! we have booked the sweetheart dinner the brown derby for a celebration!:yay:

I recently celebrated my birthday there. Not much different from any other day at the parks except a million "happy birthdays" said to me, but it was still great!

We celebrated our First Family Visit June 09.

Wonder how long this promo will last.... I'll be celebrating my graduation from college when I go in Feb. 2011, lol. Gonna make res-es ASAP!!!
