I got to cross something off my to do list today - I made litle cards with all of our ADRs listed. I put the date, the park for the day and the ADR and confirm #. Glued it to an index card, trimmed and laminated them. I made separate ones for everyone (except my kids). Ours have one extra on it and one family is doing LeCellier, so they got different ones. It turned out to be three different versions, 10 cards total. My DH says, the type is kind of small. :upsidedow

Jeez! The point is to be able to carry it in a pocket, how big can I make it!

Oh well. I have to call and change the number of people on one of my ressies (dropping the 4 that are going to LC).
Shawna - are you doing photopass? I got a card in my Mickey Mail - I think I'm going to pre-order.
Then I have to order a scooter for my MIL/SIL to share. Yes, I am The Organizer. I hope it all goes well, because if it does, they will all have me to thank (except for the weather, I probably won't get credit for that). But if it stinks, they will all blame me for poor planning. Which is why I did not plan every minute. I specifically told them all - do what you want, here's the times of our ADRs and here's what I'm doing each day. One of my SIL's said, it looks jam packed. So that's why she's getting a scooter. I want her to have a chance to keep up with me! :laughing:

So I'm crossing stuff off my list, but then I think of other things to add to it. I think that's a problem! :confused3

Whew you are one organized lady! Bought and wrapped already!!!!! Mine are bought and hiding in the closet but I haven't had the opportunity to wrap them yet. Good Job!!!!!

...for those of you who don't know her, I 'met' her on Shellys PTR...she's loads of fun and always has something happy to say!!! Love her!!!
Sheree~ I never really do the photopass...just a few here and there...I usually like the ones we take better...weird, but there it is!!! Ha!! I like the idea of your little pocket cards..and yes, the type would have to be rather small....
I got my upstairs cleaned yesterday...I usually just have the kids help me..it's pretty small and the bathroom up there is what my older son uses,,..with the condition HE cleans it. Which I might add he does a very good job of...

Love a mankin that cleans a bathroom!!! Hoping to hang my garland and bows today on my upstairs banisters...then I won't have anything to do up here until after Christmas!!! I might vaccuum up here again right before vacation...but that's it!!!! :yay:

also I kinda organized my Rubbermaids in the attic and worked a little bit in our school room...so upstairs is a go!!!!
My cleaning ladies came today and dusted!!! Love 'em!!! Dusting gives me a sinus infection...so....that's done..wont see them again until Tuesday before we leave for WDW :yay:

For today...gotta get some extra white lights for 2 new small trees in our front yard...a toy for my nephew for Christmas....new rug for the front door that's Christmas/wintery.......feed my hungry munchkins...and finish my mountain of :laundy:

which of course is never ending..but I have let it creep up on me the last few days! :eek:

Our new youth pastor and his wife (expecting their 1st little baby) came for dinner last night. It was wonderful...I knew that ds13 was really connecting with him....he is awesome with the kids! She is too...it was fun finding out about them and how they got together... I love a love story! :love:

They couldn't stay as long as we all wanted...they had their 1st birthing class last night!!!! How exciting!!!!!
Also...Kim from Canada will appreciate this.... I finished my Before Anne of Green Gables book last night!!! I know you all might not be aware of my love for all things "Anne".. but Kim got to go to PEI this summer!!! I lived vicariously through her!!! I actually bought this book a while back...and for some reason it got moved to a shelf where I have books I already read...well...lo and behold I found it a couple of days ago and have been totally enthralled!!!! What an awesome story....lots of :lmao:

I just love that whole time period and all about Anne. So, I finished the last few pages at breakfast this morning.....now I have to go back and read alllll the Anne of GG books again!!!! Ha!!!!
Well, we are off to run errands and eat some lunch...my kids are telling me that they are STARVING....oh, if they only knew! I hope they never really find out what that's like....but I sure do hate the extremeness of being a little later than usual with our daily lunches!!!!!! Have a wonderful Tuesday!! Well now lets' see--- I just got finished eating left over Halloween candy.

My children got 17 pounds -- yes I said pounds, I weighed it--- trick or treating and I think they're down to 2 pounds left.

Between all of us we are going to be the size of Montana by the time it's all gone.
Anyway- my point is that I was just eating a Snickers bar and I think I ate a rotten peanut. And so there goes the "Found a Peanut, found a peanut, found a pea-nut just now" song over and over again in my brain.

I hope I don't die.
Or get the oopsie's.
Or feel generally yucky.

How funny JoBird that we have 2 kids in the same month and one the same age!!! I loved that Peanut song as a kid!! I don't know anyone else that knows it :lmao:

I had a record with allllll kinds of weird little songs like that...Iguess you could say that as a kid I was a different kind of bird....I had one aunt that always told me how 'different' I was...and I don't think she was being nice about it either!! She said(for one thing) I was the only kid at the bday parties who wanted Vanilla Ice Cream instead of chocolate, and the only one who didnt want it ON the cake..no blending please! I still don't like the ice cream on my cake....Just let me enjoy the cake...if I want Ice Cream..I will add it --to the side!!!!
Okie dokie...well...it did get pretty chilly here last night...at 7:45 this morning it was about 46!! not the bone-chilling cold ya'll Northerners get...but we love it!! I am sure those of us not acclimated are feeling a bit :cold:

as we get out and about early this morning.There was actually some steam/mist rising off my pool this morning.Very cool to see.
Thing # 129 to mark off my list!!!!! I bought my Christmas cards last night! They are sooo cute... I haven't bought any since the year my dd was born... we have been doing the picture ones...boys abhor that......and since I don't have the time for all that this year, I just bought cards. Can I say how very cute they are!!!!! :yay:

Little snowmen..which I LOVE!!! 3 of them actually...so one for each of my little chickens......and one of my favorite sentiments/Bible verse inside. Perfect colors & font....doesn't take much to make me reaaaaaly happy,does it? Well.....on my to-do for today.... :laundy:

Today I have GOT to go over Park Days and ADRs...have been meaning to do this for a week...but it's gotta get accomplished today.As you know, I had made my list for my Christmas goodies/gift bags last week...well.... I guess I will be going for more...Our list is growing! I always try to get everyone on it the first time...then the closer we get to Christmas, the more people I remember that we said throughout the year we want to do for.
I did make a decision last night: today is a go no-where, stay-in-pjs-till-church-time-kind of day :cheer2:

Do you know how liberating it is to decide that the day before? I think a purchase I made yesterday has something to do with that......we went to Target....(Poor Mike :rolleyes:

) had to get some lights, dnephews gift,ds10 new pjs, MOM new pjs...and I found the best ones!!! I have a Nick & Nora pair from last year that are the reg pjs with a button up top, pockets and a collar that I LOVE. BUT---they are flannel and I am soooo hot-natured that I can't really wear them to bed...I do wear them around in the evening, but then I just get too hot. Anyhoo--found a diff N&N kind yesterday--top is more like cotton or whatever, long- sleeved, and the bottoms are like loose-fitting thermal. TOOO cute... I had to get 2 pair!!!!I got 1 that the top is light blue and the bottoms are blue with a rubber ducky wearing a red/black hat with flaps on his ears...I think he's ice fishing & the pair I have on --the top is lime green and the bottoms are SANTA :santa:

He has a bag of toys and they have little fireplaces/chimneys :yay:

SO appropriate this time of year!! So.... I decided we could do school in pjs and just relax today---its cold out and warm in. I think we should watch the Grinch or something when we finish school. And of course, we have to drink some cocoa today...
Now you know allllll about my day! What are ya'll doing? popcorn::

Today I am battling the cold of all colds and I'm sitting under a blanket, DIS'ing and listening to Subsonic radio. It must be that type of day.

We were supposed to get snow yesterday and instead only got rain.

DS10 got hot chocolate this morning for breakfast, my DD8 got hot tea- she has the same cold as me--- well, she actually gave it to me. I know I taught her to share but ... really????? :rotfl:

When you talk of goody bags- are you talking about baking?? OOOOOh- lets talk about that.

Okie dokie...let's! Yes...baking!! Every year, I make a big 'ole batch of Peanut Butter Fudge..it's awesome!!! Then tons of cookies...the kids help me--then we put it in Christmas tins and deliver it to allllll our friends and people in our little world who have helped us, blessed us, or we want to bless. This year, since we backed our vacation up to Dec (instead of jan), I am skipping all the cookie baking and doing Chex Party Mixes instead. Still doing the fudge--one pan goes a loooonnnng way. I was going to do tins again, but found these cute little plastic bags (with ties) at Wal-Mart decorated for winter/Christmas--they were a dollar a pack--then the little gift bags have reindeer or a snowman--toooo cute...75 cents!! I think they are the recycled bags..I love that brown color and the pictures really are sweet. So...we will do that and then stick a name tag on it and I take the kids around & they take turns jumping out to deliver!!! It's quite fun!!! Of course, we gotta have those Christmas cds blaring as we bake & deliver!!!!
I am sorry you have that crummy cold. We just got over that... I tell you what.. I know hot tea & stuff really help...but I am a Mucinex girl!! It just helps get you going faster---& my NP informed me when I went a couple of weeks back, that you can take it for quite a while, it really doesn't have side effects!!!!! AAHhhhh what a relief--since I have to take it like clock-work twice a year!!!!
I have been to Ak a few times!! My parents live in Tyler...so they looooove to go up there for vacation.
Back to baking... I sooo love to bake! I like it better than cooking....I know people usually like one or the other! I just looove it!! My little girl loves it too---she is so cute with her little apron! Ha!! I will have to take a picture of her when we do our baking and post it! It's so sweet!

I started packing for the 2 of us and printed out all our adrs for our week on a note card! I still feel like I have tons to do but oh well tomorrows another day!

Susan...we leave on the same day and there is noooo way I am ready to pack yet! ha!! For one thing, we are going out of town this weekend and I gotta pack for that first! Then....I can start thinking about Thanksgiving.....then after the weekend I will start packing!!! Besides, we need so much of our clothes...weather wise!

Hows it going?
Well... I am laying here watching the rain....Ya'll know by now how much I loooove the rain!! It's gonna rain allll day and most of tomorrow.....thank goodness we put those Lights up outside....see how smart I am! I told dh this would happen--it does EVERY year..... So...we are going to my moms this weekend so Mike can preach at my moms church. I reeeeeaaaaaalllly tried to get them to give us a weekend earlier...but to no avail...the other guy they had scheduled couldn't change his weekend, so this weekend it is. Her Pastor is on a cruise...2 weeks!!! I feel a tad jealous!!!!! he is an AWESOME man of God and we just love him to death. This is a much needed rest for him and his wife. So,...we hate to not see them this trip, but glad they are having fun!
I am bringing my mamma my extra wrapping paper so she doesn't have to buy any, and all my nephews presents. His mom won't bring him down for Christmas with us, so I want him to have it by Christmas Eve :santa:

Well...got all the kids bought and wrapped, one of dhs bought and wrapped, Christmas cards are bought and list is ready....stuff for goodie bags and baking stuff-check, and the list to go with that of course......so, Monday morning I should be able to go get the Turkey!!!! I will work on whatever food I can do early on Tues and Wed. Mon we will finish any school work that needs completing and then Th it's up & at 'em with Mr. Turkey and my sweet potatoe casserole!!!!!! never mind...all that is sounding very exhausting....anybody want to skip it and do Sonic? :rotfl:

Well....I don't know if I will be able to check in at all before Sun night....I don't like dragging my laptop...dh will, but between him and ds13...I will NOT get a chance to use it! Ha!!!! Have a blessed weekend and I will chat with my little buddies ASAP!!!!!

Hello everybody!!! Well, we are home and I am in bed checking all my emails! We had a great time this weekend...it is nice to get away..I just am soooo weird about having to have all my ducks in a row before I go....so, I had tons to do this time before we left. BUT...we got there Fri about 2,and we have got to have time with my mom, my nephew and SIL, and some friends and rest a bit...so it was good. Church was great today...Have to brag on my preacher man! :hug:

He did an awesome job...
He helped me get the rest of the lights up before we left, so as soon as we got home we turned them back on for the evening...beautiful!! maybe I can take a good pic and post it...of course,I have to do it at dark, and i might forget by then!! Ha!!!!!
Well, I am trying to pace myself this week...with my cooking/baking for Th. I am definitely gettin the Turkey tomorrow....try to get ANYTHING I need for the week....I don't want to fight the mob. I was gonna skip the chkn & dumplin' this time ....but my mom said she couldn't wait to taste 'em Thurs when she gets here......so guess what....I'll be making c&d on Wed :laughing:

I suuuuure hope she wants to make the dressing!! But, I don't think she will have time...she has to work until Wed afternoon and then it's a 3 hour drive here.....
Well.....I am gonna start checking the 15 day forecast now!!!!! I am actually at 13 days today....so, I should have plenty of info by the time we get ready to pack next week. I am worn out from driving today, so I am gonna sign off till tomorrow!! For those of you who work part of the week, hang in there!!! Holiday cometh!! :yay:

Oh!!! Thank you sooooo much!!! I have to say that orginization does tend to wear off on ya!! MY husband can tell you that!! Ha!!!!! He has greatly improved since we got married......much to my sanities relief!!! Glad to have you hangin' out with us!!!!

Pretty crummy at this point....Sat-Cloudy and 71...Sun...Rainy and 69...Mon Rainy and 67. Hopefully it'll cheer up by then and be happy and sunny and perfect......That is terrible because those first two days are our Rope Drop days!!!!

Two weeks from this past Sat. we will be there!!!!Headed to DTD!!!
Two weeks from Yesterday we are doing RD at MK and dinner at Cindy's!!
Two weeks from today we are RDing at HS and hopefully hitting Toy StoryMM at least twice...at this time we will be watching the Osborne lights!!!!!!! Hopefully it will NOT be in the rain!!!!I am asking for no rain on this trip just in case any of ya'll wondered

Hoping by this time next week the weather has improved for us!

Yeah, we need to send up a few prayers for no rain!! I can handle cooler temps (it will be warmer than here!) but I don't want the rain!

My DH put up the tree today and hauled all the decorations boxes out from storage. I put up a few things, but will wait for some of it until later. Not in the mood to do the ornaments tonight - too tired. For sure by the weekend.
