What will OUR magical memories be?? May '11,full of joy TR. Update 6/14

Your boys are adorable! The pic of them sleeping together is too cute. I love the Mickey shirts, where did you get those?

You did a lot on the 1st day, and even swimming! I can't believe the boys made it as late as they did!

The pirate rooms are adorable! Love the bed spreads!

How was staying at CBR without a car? We were in Trinidad South our first stay and used our car to drive to the food court, lol.

Just this week, they changed the sides at some of the counter service restaurants for kids. They took away grapes as a choice at ABC Comissary and added those crushable strawberry yogurt cups. Also apple sauce was no longer a choice.

It wasnt bad, we did take strollers. DH took the bus one day when he went back to the room with out the key and that was more trouble then it was worth. He had to stop at 6 places then a bus shift change, lol. It was 5 min. for one of us with no kids to walk and 7-8 with kids. No big deal for me.

I got them at Target- $6.99 orig. then on sale for $4.99!
I was shocked, Yds slept on ME bus for maybe 20 min and ods was awake all day.
Thanks for reading, this is helping me not miss it and the planning as much!

With bright eyes, he waves a big hello to Minnie and Yells out " HEY Minnie... Its ME Shane!!" I laughed so hard and kissed his cute little face. It was the best and I had camera in hand.

After a quick spin, we stepped out to see a not too long line to meet buzz and it was just what they needed! They were rejuvinated. Again, Shane had to make us laugh, he tried to pull Buzz's knee open and then wouldnt leave until he pushed his laser button on his arm. (I know photo over load, sorry!)

These moments are priceless! :goodvibes

Stopped at Dh fav Pirates of the caribbean, jungle cruise then a quick meal at Pecos Bill.
I had never eaten there; it was pretty good. Sad to see kids sides were, gee can you guess it, grapes and carrots(this gets old with my kids.)

I decided next trip i'm goign to have side days... Monday you get double fries all day, tues double grapes, wednesday double carrots, thursday double applesauce- maybe when they have a few days between them they will seem more interesting?

love this picture!

love this picture!

Too funny about side days, sounds like a good idea. I read they changed sides up a bit last week. I would love to see a side salad, some grape tomatoes, corn on the cob or a sweet potato maybe.
So before I start my day 2, I would like to say I have the BEST husband in the world. He has decided I need to look into a mini vacation just us and maybe a nother couple! I love that after 13 yrs of marrage he wants to spend the time with me. Its funny, SIL said you just came back from vacation- DH said, no the kids came back from vacation, we came back from a marathon:rotfl: True, true!
So on to day two...

After a much needed sleep, we woke to greet another beautiful SUNNY day which made me so happy after '09s rainy trip. I still had visions of waking to torrential rains.
I am not a morning person, but I set my clock for 6:30 am so we could get out by 8 am and enjoy the morning before it got too hot then some afternoon pool time. I let kids sleep until close to 7:30. They had a bowl of cheerios and Dh and I skipped. I had run to port royal for coffee but that nescafe stuff is just bad so it was the last time I wasted 5 minutes to walk there.

We got out close to on tme, so by 8:15 we were at bus stop with again very little wait(not what I expected from what others post about CBR.) by a few minutes after 9 we were in Epcot.

First stop, Soarin'. Woo Hoo 15 minute wait for standby! Shane was as we expected too small and very unhappy about not getting on. Jesse had been on our last trip as well and they gave us a pass for "the next time" but it got destroyed from being in my pants in the rain. They did not have one for Shane this time. He cried and cried "But I am taller, I am a big boy." I hung around while Dh went on so I could swap and then he took Shane on Living with the land boat ride which made everything better.
Jesse though it was "awesome" (the new word of the trip) and was so thrilled to get a second ride and this time with the baby swap and no wait.
We headed to grab a bite for DH and I, and knew the kids would be fine with another meal. We both chose the breakfast thing on foccacia type bread. It was weird, Ham, turkey egg and provolone. I could have done with out the meats. I said I was on dining plan and the CM had no idea if breakfast potatoes were supposed to come with it so I waited while she asked. I can not say it was worth it, thankful I didnt pay OOP for it. The kids ate some and didnt seem to mind as much.
When DH was close to done, I said I would run to Test track to get a FP while they finished and did a bathroom run so we could get over to nemo next.

I brisk walk and back and they were just getting to Nemo and Friends. DH and I reminised about the 10,000 leagues way back but agreed this was more fun. Wait was 5 minutes! Again, thankful we arrived early.
After that, the turtle talk was nearing start time so we looked into the tanks, watched the dolphins(could have done that all day.) Jesse took his place on the rug and did love the show, but Shane wouldnt leave us. He didnt seem too interested.
vacation214.jpg

This particular day I seemed to loose my groove of having a firm plan. I feel like I lost a lot of time, stopped a lot to check my map and missed too many attractions/rides.
Next was figment, I forgot how cute it was and it was a nice break sitting for a few minutes. After that, it was time for Jesse first "thrill ride" this trip so on to Test track! We reminded him if he liked it he would again get to ride once with each of us and then Shane again started getting upset. We hoped to have him play in the fountains at that time but we were not on schedule for them:sad1:
Jesse absolutely LOVED test track, he was more than happy to get a second run. This time he went with DH and he did the arms up too.
Shane and I walked back to the fountains-No luck but the Jaminators were just finishing so we watched and he got stickers. Back at Test track we went into the store, played with the "stuff" there(nothing special there) but cast member let him drive a remote control car! Score! Now we have a happy kid again. I also let him make his first pressed penny and he held it like it was gold(I wasnt expecting him to care- see mom doesnt know everything!)

DH and Jesse came out and Jesse then made his pressed penny. It was a bit of a fight to get them into my purse for safe keeping.
Somehow, it was nearing 1 by then and heating up so we decided to head back for pool time.
All of my good luck with buses leaving but I had to deal with the many stops to get back to Trinidad S. DH packed a fresh cooler a few beers for us and juice and water for kids.

No one as hungry for lunch so we swam for a few hours and it was well needed.
Our ADR was for 5:30 in Mexico so we left pool at 3:30 I think and went back to freshen up. This was a bit of a mad rush, should have left earlier but it was a nice rest. We hurried and were out by 4!

Back to Epcot again no bus issues so we arrived quick. It was early enough that security bag ck was almost empty so we got back in before 4:30. Sure enough, this is what happened next…
wedding-vacation169.jpg

They were both asleep just beyond the turnstiles! So Dh and I did the only logical thing, got margaritas! (you can see them in the cup holders of the stroller, hard to push them while drinking one I must say.) I stopped to take some pics since I had my DSLR at that time.
wedding-vacation178.jpg

We walked around that side of World show case enjoying the quiet before heading back to Mexico after waking the boys up.

We were seated almost immediately but right by the stairs. The kids were excited about the Volcano and the "night sky." I knew at that meal I was keeping them well hydrated- we took 7 trips to the bathroom during dinner between the two!

We decided to get an appetizer and kids were enjoying chips and salsa. We decided on the Tostadas de Tinga and both of us loved them!
Ods got the beef taco to share with yds, came with rice and fruit. DH and I got

vacation216.jpg

jalapeno and Blood Orange Margarita.
I liked both but orange was sweet and DH didn like jalapeno so we each enjoyed our own.
For dinner we decided again to share, I got pork Chili Rellenos and DH Carne Asada. His came with beans(?) and I got cilantro rice. We split it up and I can say for both us of DELICIOUS!! I am so thrilled we again went with our heart and booked it. I read so many bad reviews I was scared but DH and I have great memories and had to do it. The food was fresh and well -seasoned and just enjoyable.
Dessert for the kids were churros with carmel sauce(ok, they were full)
I think I got I got vanilla ice cream with carmel sauce but cant remember and no idea about DH. We took no more then a couple bites anyway. More desserts gone to waste on the Dining Plan!

We took our time eating so had little time to walk around before finding a spot for illuminations. We take a ride on the Three caballeros then on to Maelstrom(not a fav but the kids liked it.)
We decided(on a roll) to get beers but stopping in American Pavilion we got Sam Adams which is well just terrible! I drank some and threw it out- what a waste.
We stopped to take a few pics in italy but really didnt get a change to enjoy very much of World Showcase.
About 8:25 we chose a spot at Japan, right at the rail with what turned out to be a great view.

Again Ds said it was awesome, he was right!

wedding-vacation225.jpg

The kids did such an amazing job of being patient, getting along and even staying up late. We didn’t get back to the resort until close to 10 pm and they were right to sleep. DH and I went outside to sit, this time with a beer I liked and could drink and I did catch up with some homework! It was a wonderful day , lots of fun memories once again and more to come…..

Those drinks look soooo good! I meant to try various drinks in the parks and at the resort, but I never got that first adult beverage. :( I'm glad you had one for me then. :p :lmao:

The fountains were off everytime we went to check for them on our EP day. Think they're trying to cut budgets and just not doing the fountains anymore? :confused3

We also saw IllumiNations from Japan (but you aren't supposed to know that yet :rotfl:).

Sounds like you had a great day! Was this Tuesday?

I dont think i ever finished one whole drink but what I had was yummy!
It was Monday. Thanks for the inside info, I wont tell:rotfl:

what are the new sides? it woudl not hurt me at all if they switched. i think a salad is a great cheap choice but i'm be surprised if it was an option because its offered for kids at so many sit down meals.

we also practice the multiple potty trips a meal. so much so, that i ask for a table near the bathroom when we go out to eat. sad, i know:goodvibes

i love your naptime entertainment. i might have done a similar thing myself during the week.

where are the dolphins? i can't believe i missed those!

I'm such a lightweight, if I finished the whole drink, I'd slur, and would probably get kicked out for public intoxication. :lmao::rotfl2:

Monday! Gotcha! Trying to figure out where we were while you update. Looking to see if I walked in front of your camera without realizing it. (Because I did that so many times, and apologized every time I noticed.)

And thanks for not telling. ;)

Loving your TR! Your family is Adorable!! I can't believe you got back to your room by 10 after Illuminations? That's early?! We have yet to do that with the kiddos...will have to this next trip!

Dolphins are in by turtle talk with crush, they have divers and sting rays and all sorts of fun things.
I need to remember the seating near bathroom for next time.

Lidian- we must have crossed paths at least once!
Blessed- we did begin our walk back just before it ended. Ods kept saying But wait, are they over no not yet... AS long as the bus isnt too bad.

So I am trying to keep my motivation to keep at my TR so a big thanks to those who are following. I hope by the time we go back in a few years I can write a TR that draws a crowd:idea: So tomorrow I plan to tackle another wonderful day in the world but tonight I need to rest up from bad migraine.

I'm sure we did cross paths unknowingly!

I'm sorry you have a migraine. They are so not fun. Do you have anything to take for them? My doctored tried me on a few things, but they weren't .. cost effective. (Very expensive.) So I just seclude myself and pray. :lmao:

I hope you feel better soon, and I can't wait for more!! :goodvibes

Your DH is funny! It is like coming back from a marathon-except with more events-hurdles and swimming too! :rotfl:

Thanks. Better today not 100 % but surviving. I get them terrible and havent found ample treatment. I had 4 this week with all symptoms that go along with it:sick: I always want seclusion but never seems to happen. I almost took off Thursday from work it was so bad but I really couldnt- it was an 11 hr day! I really dont know how I made it. I did run out for a chair massage today and it helped. I hold it in my neck.

I woke this day still with fears of rain but pulled back the blinds to expose beautiful SUNSHINE! It was again to be about 90 degrees, not too bad humidity and sun. Perfection.

This was our day off, day of rest, a chance to enjoy the resort. We hadnt set a clock and I think we slept until about 8 am(not bad after a 10 pm night for the kids.)

The plan was breakfast by the pool so we made a cup of coffee, organized a a bit and got into bathing suits. The walk to Port Royal is so pretty and we took our time.
wedding-vacation249.jpg

We found a table at the pool and I went in to get breakfast.
wedding-vacation243.jpg

I really wish they didnt have seperate areas for different food, gets annoying to order here and there and wait at each and "pay" at another location(and dessert is not at the same place for other meals.)
Anyway, The kids got a sausage and mickey waffle meal and chocolate milk (mom was loosening up on the chocolate this week:woohoo:) DH and I shared a breakfast platter- Disneys famous scrambled eggs (gag) sausage, bacon, biscuit, potatoes and french toast. I am not much on this kind of meal so I made a egg and sausage biscuit sandwich, poured on some hot sauce and shared it with DH. I gave DH the rest of the other stuff as well. I also got another nescafe but couldnt drink it so I sipped OJ I got with the meal. It was about then we realized we really didnt need the mugs we bought(only got 2 at least.) We dont drink soda and we get drinks with meals and got water from Garden Grocer.
We quickly cleaned up and took to the water. The kids loved the day at the pool, I loved not walking all day. The pool was a large reason I chose caribbean beach resort and I can say I am SO glad we did. It was super to have the kids be able to run in and out, switch over to pirate pool and there we could sit and just watch.

The pirate kiddie pool was great, and they were strict with keeping it for small kids. There was always 2 lifeguards who were so wonderful, pleasant and so "on" all the time.

We stayed all day but skipped lunch again since we ate breakfast about 10 am. I had pretzels and fruit for kids to snack on. The kids decided after snacks they wanted to head to pirate pool.
DH went over to the Banana Cabana bar to pick us some libations. I think I had a rum runner. No matter it was cool and tastey.

All was going great other then DH had a call from work:mad: They actually said, your still on vacation? Hmm, he has 6-7 week per year to use and this was his 3rd day off including the previous Thursday!

Finally about 2 pm we decided to pack up, stroll caribbean Cay.

wedding-vacation236.jpg

No sooner then we walked over the bridge, yds fell asleep in the stroller! YAH! We took our time and let him rest.
The scenery was so pretty.
wedding-vacation255.jpg

wedding-vacation254.jpg

We finally got back to the room, let yds sleep while we showered before waking him to shower for our ADR.

This is the shower wall, DH loved it(He really thinks he is a pirate!)

I never plan an off/rest day. The resort I'm staying at (POFQ) next vacation has so much to offer that I'm kicking myself over it.

BTW - I got my first migrane while pregnant with daughter #2. Doctors would not prescribe anything because I was pregnant. I could not sit up. I had to stay laying down with all the lights off. I would have lost my job if I did not finally found a doctor that prescribed Butalbitol. It is a barbituate, and apparently does not affect the fetus. One pill, and the migrane was gone. Whenever I feel one coming on - I take one pill and the migrane is gone. It has no intoxicating side effects. It is also inexpensive.

Thanks that is what I do take(fiorticet is the brand and they make it with codein added to it as well but Codein gives me headahces.) Unfortunatly nothing works well, it takes the edge off but wont rid me of the headahce. I take it multiple times per day often(even PG paired with tylenol!) and multiple times per week on a regular basis. It is a class C drug so its not proven to cause ahrm but still scary since its not proven safe either. Thankfully, both of my boys were perfect. I have explored a lot of options with headhaches but, its been going on for years and years. I get chronic daily headahces as well as frequent migraines. I could write a book, lol. Its part of why I am studying nutrition, to find ways to help/maintain illnesses due to diet.
