So, I made a reservation for this meal, right after I heard about it on this weeks podcast. Afterwards, I realized it was 2 credits. Good thing I didn't cancel any other reservations!
I'm not sure if I want to spend 2 credits on this meal and I'm pretty sure I don't want to spend $160+ (before tip) for a breakfast for four. I love SW, but it seems really pricey. We aren't huge into character dining and/or meet and greets. We will do them, but we don't go out of our way for those experiences.
We could give up our Hoop Dee Doo ressie. We could... but probably won't since we love the Hoop! That's a great experience, with a nice meal and has created many happy memories.
Don't get me wrong. I REALLY want to go. But, without knowing what to expect for the meal, paying such a premium (we still never ate at the California Grill and if we are spending this much, maybe we should explore that option for an adults only meal) and having to figure out how we will pay for this (ditch 2 of our current dining ressies and go with counter service for two dinners or just pay out of pocket, which means expanding the existing OOP budget, either way it just means I need to bring more money!). It's become a minor first-world dilemma. lol
It's a brilliant idea and I'd like to support it and see it happen all the time. But this is still a breakfast, typically the cheapest meal of the day. I'm wrestling with the concept that this is now becoming the premium meal for our 8 day trip.
Is anybody else in angst over this? What are you doing? Darn the torpedoes, full steam ahead? Or just passing and going with more cost effective options?
