I think the THV will be much harder to book.
Im excited, because THV fills a void in
DVC. You dont really hit that void until you start planning a family gathering with multiple units.
The studio and 1 bed sleep the same amount of people and the 2 bed costs more than 2 studios, but you dont gain anymore beds or sleeping capacity over 2 studios.
Also, unless you have couples, you have the issue of sleeping together.
A THV gives me 6 separate beds, where a 2 bed would have 4 total. An SSR GV also has 6 beds. Different sizes, but I didnt want my 2 oldest sisters to have to sleep together, or my 2 brothers, so although we had a GV, my sisters had 1 bedroom upstairs and my brothers got the other. Dh and I had the master and I had to outsource our kids to a studio

So we had 6 people in a GV (for the living space for our group) and 9 studios. No matter how I tried to make a 2 bedroom work it wouldnt.
That's not to mention the cool factor of having our own THV and having bikes to ride over to the main area. Many of my family were not interested in visiting the parks, but they loved SSR and the location to DTD and all the activities and the main pool.
SSR has always been a destination resort for us and we've always said that we would enjoy it even if it were not at WDW.
THV makes it even more of a destination and if the
point charts are reasonable, our 2010 family reunion will be held there.
