What Wii games does your family like?

We finally got a Wii and are having alot of fun.

DH and I are trying to decide which games are worth buying. The boys really want Happy Feet but we haven't found any good reviews. Any opinions?

We did buy Zelda. That was a must.

Really, seriously no! It's not the worst movie to video game out there, but there are WAY better games.

Excite truck, Rayman, Monkey Ball, Madden.

Wii Play and Wario Ware in another month or so.

Mario Party is what i am most looking forward to next. It comes out in March.

How old are your children? I can give you better recommendations from there.

Elebbits is really fun. (Im addicted)

the kids have Avatar too and like it but it's only a one player.
they are waiting for Wario too!

Hollywood Video has Wii games for rent so you can try them out first. We rented Rayman and they liked that too.

and we didnt know about Mario coming...wooo hooo!

lol Pre-ordered Wii play today and we can't wait for Mario Party 8 (we have all them for the Gamecube)

The boys are 5 and 7, but do really well with the games. We were looking at Monkey Ball and Rayman but hate to pay that much for a bad game. We've done enough of that already.

Too true!!

I think renting some stuff is a great idea. They will (and you too) probably LOVE Excite Truck. If you like mini games like stuff in Mario Party then you should really try Rayman since that's what it is. It's really funny.

So Elebits is good? For some reason I don't like the sound of it, but I want a new game and don't want to pay $50 for Rayman.

If you have to get a movie game, Happy Feet is supposed to be the best right now. Maybe renting it will get them over it.

We made the mistake of buying the "Cars" game without reading any of the reviews and it was not impressive. We rented Zelda, Ravman, and Super Swing Golf- out of the three Ravman was the a hit with my boys and DH liked Zelda. So far though the biggest hit is the Sports game so we preorderd Wii Play. It has billards, target shooting, ping-pong and a few other games- it also comes with another remote so it seems to be a pretty far deal for $50.

Monkey Ball is only one player for the mazes but multiplayer for the party games and there's like 50 of them. DS11 really likes it.

We rented Rayman and it's on the "to buy" list. DS11 liked it a lot too. And it's multiplayer

We rented Rampage, didn't like it.
He has Barnyard now, it's ok but wouldn't buy it.

We also own Zelda and he's already beaten it and is playing it through for the second time now.

On his list of games he really wants.....Mario Galaxy, SupersmashBros Brawl. Neither one is out yet.

BTW DH (The Horned King) is going to start a thread where we can share our Wii IDs, so we can chat with each other and eventually play against each other!

We love Rayman. DS10 beat the game today and we got the game a week ago. (He really has been a Wii hog and on a mission! ) Monkeyball is not getting the play that I thought it would (we got it on the same day as Rayman) but the kids like it. Zelda is great- I have been jonesen while DS has been hogging. We can't wait for Wii play.

My kids were ecstatic to hear they are planning a release of Animal Crossing....they still play the GC one so they want a Wii one too! They seem to play the sports one that came with it the most so far.

Oooo ... we got a Wii yesterday and my shoulder hurts SOOOOO bad. Like, popping pain pills bad. I've played so much bowling, I should be a natural the next time I hit the lanes!! I smoked DH at golf, too. HA!

Zelda and Elebits so far are my favorites. We also have Rayman and Trauma Center: Second Opinon. Rayman is alot of fun , Trauma Center not so much. I can't wait for Wii Play.
