I am new to the child swap thing. My granddaughter is 2 years old. There will be 3 adults. We want to ride FJ at early entry. Am I to understand that one of us will wait in some special child swap room while two of us get to go on the ride.... Then when that ride is finished, the one who was waiting gets to go on the ride. But won't the line be long by then?
How does this work? Exactly?
And please share your experiences.

You will all go thru the line together. When you get to the loading station the child and other adult will go into a room where they will be playing harry potter movies. Once the other 2 ride then you and one of the others (if the want to ride again) will go to the attendant and will be put on the ride. You won't have to wait in the long line again

You go through the line with your group then you get to wait in the child swap room. Most (I think) of the rooms are by the loading area. You do not have to get back in line, I think you just go to the front of the loading area.

This is just from watching others load, we have only used child swap at Disney. We will be using it on our next universal trip.

I'm sure someone who has used it will chime in. But the rooms looked better than waiting in the sun trying to find somewhere to sit at Disney.

Thank you so much for the prompt answers! I can always count on this group! :) that doesn't sound so bad, I feel much better now!

Just a hint. It is always just me and my husband doing child swap, so we go through the single rider line then get put into the swap room while one of us rides. That line is much shorter for your initial wait.

Single rider line at FJ misses the castle though, right? It bypasses it?

We had excellent luck with child swap. My older kids were able to ride the rides twice and it seemed like we lucked out and had front row on a lot of the rides.

Universal did an excellent job with this feature!

This is good to know. Now, I am super excited! We will be at early entry Sunday morning!
