What Were You Doing 1 Year Ago Today?

We were leaving ASMo and driving to Cape Canaveral to start our 3-day cruise on the Wonder!

And this year..... I'm raking leaves and putting deck furniture away for the winter!

oh, you're killing me here - we were on the 11/1 Magic so today would have put us (by date: 11/6) at sea heading to Castaway.

By day of week, Sat, we were getting off the ship - WAAAAAAAAAAA


It's been hard for me this year because our last two cruises have been 10/26 and 11/1 and I feel like I SHOULD be on one now!

At least our next one is getting closer!

Substitute teaching and planning our cruise in Feb 2004

Last year at this time we were counting down the days to our week in St. Maarten - this year we are counting down the months until our January cruise on the Wonder.

Last year we were beginning the long process of planning for our vacation this year.

This time next week we will be sitting down to lunch at Topsiders. WOOHOO

Leaving this evening for a week at the All Star Sports Resort.

This time last year I was very, very ill with RA (did not yet know it was RA). Never did I believe I would be doing well enough now to be able to spend 4 days at WDW (AKL) and 7 glorious days on the magic. Life really has to appreciated for every moment we have.....thats why I'm lovinlife!!!!

I was doing exactly what I'm doing now...reading these boards and thinking "In exactly one month I will be at WDW, and then leaving on my annual holiday cruise!". I hope I'll be doing exactly the same thing next year, too!

A year ago from now I was kind of in emotional shock, after having just watched my mother die in front of my eyes a couple of weeks prior, from advanced Alzheimers. We also had just had a flood in our basement family room, and were dealing with that, AND we were painting our livingroom and shopping for new livingroom furniture! LOL

At the same time, I had our first Disney Cruise to look forward to, which we just took this past August. Planning and thinking about that cruise was the best distraction from all the stress I was dealing with last year.

Today, our basement familyroom is brand new and looks awesome, our livingroom looks great, AND we have 1 Disney Cruise behind us, and a Royal Caribbean cruise AND another Disney cruise to look forward to

Those of you that have DCL cruises in the near future, you missed the point. This is supposed to be a thread for DISers feeling sorry for themselves! Have a great time on your cruises and post good trip reports so we can live vicariously through you!

We had just gotten off the Wonder & were heading home to upstate NY.

Now, we live in FL - near Orlando ! - & we're getting ready to go on the Magic ! Yeah!
