What were the most original or fun costumes that you saw at MNSSHP?

We'll be a group of 4 next year and are looking for some good ideas - Hey, it's never too early to start planning! :bounce:

Thanks guys!

:)

Polkadotminnie and her family wore "sandwich boards" that she made to look like the red Visa cards. Very original and cute.

We saw some really elaborate pirate costumes this year.pirate:

A group of 4 couples stands out too, very elegantly dressed in togas!Actually beautiful silk dress type togas for the girls and the guys had matching colors to go with their ladies.

We saw a group of witches...looked like maybe 4 generations of ladies...they all had on the color and black striped socks and hats. Each one had on a different color. It was pretty eye catching!

I saw someone who went as a park hopper passs! he lad a yellow piece of felt over him with words cut out of red felt! I also saw 3 older women who were dressed like the fairies from Sleeping Beauty. There were SO many people dressed up! Next year I am going to convince my husband to dress up with me.

When we went last year, I dressed my 4 year old DD in a hula outfit, my 2 year old DD in a kimono, and my almost 1 year old DS in a kilt. They were "It's a Small World" dolls. I thought that was cute and clever (Disney themed, but not the same as a ton of other people).

I'd also love to have everyone dress up as pirates (mom & dad included) and be the Pirates of the Caribbean. Yo ho, yo ho....

This year for trick or treating, my three kids were three cats, white, black and orange (my boy has red hair....) and they were the Aristocats. They were going to be Tinkerbell, Wendy & Peter Pan - but we had a last minute change :0

One year my SIL dressed as Cruella and her 3kids were dalmatians. That was very cute, too!

Have fun planning!!

Last year we saw a family of three - Dad was Sully, the little girl was Boo, and the very pregnant Mom was Mike - loved the bright green shirt she wore, with the giant eyeball printed on the front, LOL!

Also saw a medieval family - King, Queen, Princess, and older, not too keen to be dressed up son as a goth Monk. I talked to them for a while waiting for the bus - the Queen had made the costumes herself, and they were gorgeous.

Schmeck, who had a very quiet Halloween this year, except for the times when we all sighed and said "This time last year we were at Disney World, Waaaaahhh!"

We went three years ago for MNSSHP WITH DH, AND 2DS. I did not want to be stuck with large costumes to lug around.
I made "fux leather" vests for the boys and my dh, we packed their jeans rolled them up ,a white tee shirt and white socks, greased there hair, and off we went. I made a quick fleece skirt ( nice and warm) and pinned a Minnie applique on the front
Easiest dis costume ever!

Sorry this wasn't seen at WDW but I just had to share the funniest family costume that I just saw at "Boo at the Zoo" at the National Zoo. The father was a priest and the mother was dressed as a nun. They had 5 very young children dressed as angels. Too cute! Threehearts

We were at the 10/31 MNSSHP. Saw a family of three. Dad and Mom were Woody and Jessie. Darling costumes! Little girl was Bo Peep. Obviously a talented imagination there. Costumes were perfect!

We were to the theme of Peter Pan. I was Wendy, DH was Mr. Smee, DS9 was Captain Hook, DS6 was Peter Pan and DD4 was Tink. Did Disney Store for the kids. DH was a white t-shirt that I painted stripes on and a plain red bandana tied on the head. I had a blue night gown. Not as pretty as Wendy's, but it did the trick!princess:

We were there on 10/19 and two families are still in our minds. The first was a man and boy dressed as Pinochio and Gepetto, complete with puppet strings attached. The second was a man dressed as Snow White with seven very young children following single file, each dressed as one of the dwarves; bringing up the rear was a man carrying a magic mirror! What wonderful imaginations!

We were at MNSSHP on 10/30 and I think we had a pretty good set of costumes based on the number of times strangers came up and took our photos! DS (5) was santa, I was an elf and my DH was a 6'4'' christmas tree complete with blinking star head piece and packages for shoes!

I am curious if anyone on the DIS say him/us? He was quite popular. We all had a great time. I would suggest wearing costumes to anyone.

By chance did any of you who attended the 10/31 MNSSHP see the man with the bride/groom costume? Although DH and I laughed until we cried (it was quite clever), I was quite surprised that he got in with it on. He might have not put it on until inside. It was quite explicit.:earseek:

Mi mickey fan that does sound really cute!!

jfis 1020-- that sounds interesting...you have me very curious!!

I would agree there were some great costumes...it made it so much more fun to dress up this year!
Cant wait to do it again!

MI Mickey fan - too funny - my first thought when thinking of a "group" halloween costume was to do Santa & Mrs. Claus, have one of our DS's be a reindeer, the other an elf. Like the idea of the C'mas tree!

It's fun reading everyone's posts

:)

The best costume I saw had to be a rather tall skinny guy dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow. He had the hair, mustache and beard down perfect.

We saw several other pirates but none were close to this one.

even though it was last year's MNSSHP, i still remember a tiny little girl who was dressed up as a flower pot. Her body was the pot, and she had on a big flower hat, complete with stem. she must've been around two, and it was so cute!
