What were Disney theme parks like in the 90s?

Oh my gosh, us too. Early 2000s. We took walkie talkies and the funny thing is I could hear other people's conversations on them too. It was a mess!!
We rented four Nextel phones for the family. Nextels had a push to talk feature, like an intercom, very popular on construction sited. You could pick one person, or all four that were on your short term account. And make a phone call if needed. One company had a great idea there in Orlando for a number of years.

We've been going to WDW for over 40 years, there have always been pros/cons to every era. I would agree that the quality of food was much better in the days prior to the dining plan, and even the highest priced menu items were reasonable. The merchandise was also better quality. But those days are gone and WDW still remains my laughing place. :earsboy:

My first visit to the park was in 2011, but I recall some long-timers telling me how they used to allow the face characters to move around (and interact with guests) a lot more freely, rather than having the controlled meet-and-greet sessions of nowadays?
