I have a yellow lab that will just sit anywhere, and not do anything. Like she will walk to my foyer and just sit. Or we find her in a hallway sitting. Just sitting. :rotfl:

My cat hugs people. Paws around both sides of your neck; it's the dangdest thing.

My kitty likes to put both front paws in the water dish and splash around! Makes a big mess, but he really seems to enjoy it and its hysterical to watch. He also likes to pull sweaters or sweatshirts off the hangers in the closet to sleep on. I used to think they fell on the floor and he found them until I caight him pulling one down once. Brat.

the dog 'talks' to us...growls, with a lifted snarly lip...tongue out slightly, fang showing.....she doesn't bite, just that face and that NOISY growl! when she was a puppy,I was a bit worried she was being mean, now we know she's just talking.when she's truly upset, like a stranger at the door, she barks-totally different sound.....
my cat comes when she's called...thinks she's a dog I guess, though my dog usually ignores me when I call her:rotfl:

Our Shih-Tzu steals pencils, pens, markers, etc and hides them under the couch. He has to flatten his body and belly crawl to get under there.

If you're taking a bath, he wants to lean into the tub and drink the hot water.

He will eat ANYTHING except ketchup and cheetos.

One of my dogs will sit there and stare at you if you are sitting in his spot on the couch. I'm not sure if we always end up moving because the staring is uncomfortable or because he looks so cute doing it.

My family's black lab mix does this, too. We'll always find her just sitting pretty in random places.

My cat grumbles every time I sneeze or cough...every time. Only for me. Very funny. She will grumble until I say, "I'm alright kitty" and then she stops. If I say nothing, she grumbles for quite a while even in a dead sleep. LOL

My cat LOVES McDonald french fries, will sit and stare at you while you're eating them. I've never seen a cat love something like that.

Our golden retriever has a few stuffed animals and he either lays down and kind of sucks on them or he uses them as pillows. The first thing he does when we come home is run around the house looking for one of his "babies." He goes in the basement while we are gone, but he refuses to take one down with him. It is really odd. He is very gentle with them and has had the same ones for years - never destroys them. I have to sneak them away and throw them in the washer once in awhile. He is also obsessed with kleenex, napkins, papertowels, etc. He eats them if he gets ahold of any.

I don't know if it is a "thing" but I am amazed at our dog's internal clock. About 5 minutes before the kids come home from school, she is up on her stool by the front window watching for them. 9:00 at night she is pawing at me to get her medicine and start her nighttime ritual.

She also likes to sneak food out of the garbage and take it out her dog door to eat it outside. By sneak, I mean sneak. She creeps across the kitchen floor and slowly pushes whatever she has out her dog door and then runs really fast down the stairs. It is quite comical. I keep trying to get it on video.

Our Border Collie mix loves to wipe off on us after taking a drink. Pants or bare legs, doesn't matter. She will intentionally load up and run straight for us. If it wasn't so disgusting it would be hilarious! :lmao:

Three out of my four cats respond to their name.
One of them gets daily breathing treatments for asthma,
all I have to do is stand by the counter and call his name,
even if he's downstairs he will come to me, and he know's
he gets two treatments he'll wait for the second one, even
though he gets treats in between.
The one who dosen't answer to his name seem to know what I'm saying,
for instance on Christmas day we were opening stockings
and I realized he wasn't in the room, I went downstairs
to his usual hang out and said "Sam-Norris, we are opening
presents and you are missing the toys" I turned around to go
back and he beat me up the stairs and ran straight to the new
toys. The funniest thing he does is carry the sofa throw around the
house aparently he thinks it's his, I never know where I'm going
to find it.

Pets are so funny. These stories are cute!
My oldest cat Junior sits in front of the vent in the kitchen and sniffs at it.
My old cat (she passed away a few years ago) named Punkin would tear open a bag of white bread and eat the top of the bread if we left it on the kitchen table.

My shepherd wiggles the door knob when he wants out or in. Don't ask me how he got there. I never did the bell on the door knob trick when he was being house broken.

For my Sunday dinner I always prepare a full meal. If I have a date over and cook for the both of us he puts on a show for her. Grabs a stuffed toy and does his best savage beast wolf impression. Doesn't do it for me when I'm alone...just to impress the women!

My lab can tell time. 7am on the weekends it's time to get up and go for her walk. Even when day-light savings kicks in. 7am she wakes up and I get a cold nose in the face.

My dog stares at the wall and spaces out. Lol. Also when we are doing laundry, he loves to lie on top of the dirty clothes pile.

I don't know if this is weird, per se, but my dogs NEVER wake me up to go out.... NEVER... they always wake my wife..... even if I am sleeping on the couch, which is near the door to go out.

:rotfl:HA! the dogs always woke DH,not me! maybe b/c I don't listen well....

I love these stories....

Our oldest cat came from a shelter where I volunteer now. The director has a funny way of saying hello to them in the morning or when she arrives. It's funny because she uses a funny voice. Well he (the kitty) says hello. I would tell my DH that he is saying hello and he didnt believe me until he heard the lady greet the kitties in the shelter.

Our middle kitty is obsessed with water. He turns on the kitchen sink with his head and drinks the water. We had to cover the handle because we were coming home from work and finding the water on. He also will sit in front of the bathroom sink and cry for us to come in and turn the water on.

When Max wants attention from us he will sit right in front of you and "smile."
A big toothy smile. But smiling makes him sneeze so he will smile...sneez...smile....sneeze. If you smile back at him but not pet him, he gets overcome with smiling and sneezing. It's really funny.
