Some of the things that I couldn't have done without on our trip with our little one were:
-Sanihands wipes... they come in a box ( avail. at Babies R Us and other places) and I used them for wiping tables, all of our hands, wiping the grimy high chairs, etc. They had lots of great uses and I'm a germ freak!
- a couple small bath toys that she could also bring to the pool, kid friendly sunscreen. Those sunscreen sticks are good for the face!
- HATS, bring a few with wide brims to shade their eyes, and they do get sweaty, so bring a couple so you have backups if one needs to dry of be washed out.
- her
crocs, but don't forget to sunscreen the feet! She threw up one day all over her shoes and I just tossed them in the sink with soap and wahlah! She also wore her tennis shoes, but the crocs were so versatile from water to rain to dry to pool to park, etc.
- We had a lot of things delivered to WL from Garden Grocer, so that we eased up on packing since we were flying. I brought swim diapers since we didn't need many, but ordered regular diapers and wipes. I brought 2 or 3 sippy cups, brought a sponge but ordered the dish soap.
- We ordered milk, yogurt, fruit and fruit cups, and her fave snacks so that we could eat some in the room and pack some to bring.
-Snack cups (like someone mentioned the snack trap.) I always bring ziploc's everywhere in a couple sizes, you always find SOMETHING to use them for... like for a wet outfit when at a park or an outfit that got ice cream all over it, etc. Until you get back to wash it out...
- Whatever they sleep with at home, if there is a specific animal, blanket, music that you can bring... very helpful
- We brought a MacClaren which did recline some, she did fine in it. Frankly I think they are so tired, they dont need to lay flat to sleep!
- Be prepared with an extra outfit wherever you go, standard with little ones, but easy to forget on vacation with everything else you have to remember. I packed twice as much clothes wise for her as I did for my husband and I, we did not have a washer or dryer and I didn't know what to expect with her going through clothes in the heat. I think with little ones it's better to be overprepared!
Have fun!
(The small silverware is a great tip too!)
