Sounds like you have a definite plan of action! I like to have my entire house clean before we go to WDW (or any vacation). That way, when I get home, all I have to do is start washing clothes and unpacking the ungodly amount of souveniers and junk we end up with.

My husband always laugh at the way I count down the days. I don't count today because...well....it's today (and it's here) and I don't count the day we leave because...well...it's the day we leave. I just count the days in between.

Didn't you say that you guys found a hotel near Crestview or Tallahassee for your first night?

Dayne looks very handsome. I've never seen or heard of a ring ceremony. It was neat to see the pics. Hopefully he will like the Mustang and he and Danny can have a project for the summer.

No, we were orginally going to go to Clearwater Beach to meet up with a girlfriend of mine. But, instead I found a townhouse (for the same price as the two nights at disney w/the two rooms--and we were planning on traveling to Universal/IOA on two days anyway--we have THREE nights) in Orlando and she is going to meet us there. She is going to stay one night in the TH w/us and one night @ASSp (I have to add her on the ressie @ 10 days out from the 24th--think its tomorrow).

I don't count today either; but I always counted the day we left will have to start leaving that one off--I like your way better

I knew I should have gone back and read from the start of the report. I guess it was somebody else over on my Louisiana board that was looking for a place to stop near Crestview.

I remember that! I think I had replied to what we normally do; to that one. Don't remember what thread it was on. We usually always drive all the way through; which I had mentioned. We had thought of stopping in Ft. Walton on the way back this year when we first started to plan our trip. But, the jellies are out already!!!! and I think we have spent enough money... we still have Ashton's surgery to deal with when we return...money money money--uuuggghh!

But, the magic is right around the corner
that will conquer all!!!

So, Dayne is packed--so he and Ashton are basically done!!
Will just need to put the toothbrushes, acne meds, anti-pers, and such on Wed.
If the turkey does not come home and undo everything I packed...

Need to add socks to the shopping list for Dayne & Danny
not taking the old ones--easier to pack in the store pack...

Now I just need to work on the laundry I cleaned out of his room...
and he needs to dust...don't see how the child breathes in there (boys are so different than girls--never even thought of that when Gwendolyn was his age)...

Joining in. We are all so close we will soon be reading trip reports......lol. Your family sounds like mine. My oldest son still hasn't packed and we leave in 3 days. I refuse to pack for him, he is 20.

I love the time map quest gives for the drive.............. I guess if everyone wore the astronaut diapers we could make it in the amount of time they say. It says we can make the drive in 8 hours, and it gives you 9. I know for a fact I cannot make it from Mobile to NO in 1 hour so how they only add one hour is just hilarous...............

I will keep Ashton in my prayers.

Yes we are all in the mist of leaving or getting ready to leave.
It normally takes us 12 hrs to get to Orlando that is with potty breaks and a food stops. It takes us 1.5 hr to get to Mobile so I guess add an hour to what mapquest predicts. Depends on traffic I would think; that is why we try to leave super early to miss the cities morning drive; that and Danny drives best at night (he can't handle the glare--puts him to sleep)and I drive best in the day (and I can't sleep in a vehicle so I keep him up or do the driving).

So, we just walked in... we bought Dayne the '91 mustang (its a year older than him-lol)
I think Danny is just as excited as Dayne... I just hope Danny knows what he is doing...I think Dayne is too young for that kind of power...he repects my car but that is mom's car when its his he might feel different...

My life is normally so boring and so far the past 5 months have been very eventful...good, great (disney trip), and nerve racking...

Need to start my planning again...the girls I watch are both leaving early tomorrow I think I'm going to start Danny & I's bag tomorrow. Danny will just have to settle for one pair of shorts for the weekend...he'll just have to stay clean...

You are so sweet to give your son a car. I still have a hard time with my 21 yo daughter driving. We are facing a $1000 deductable when we return from Disney on an accident she had 2 weeks ago. Well, let me rephrase that, SHE is facing a $1000 deductable.

I have me, Dale and Dallas packed, the two oldest have to do it on their own. Well, that is a BIG lie. I have Tyler's clothes layed out on the Love Seat .

I am a Saints fan and LSU fan just not die hard... will watch every game... but rarely think to use the slang... sorry... BUT, you and Danny would get along he is a major nascar fan but I can't tell you who his favorite is...
I was raised girly girl and Dad lived in a household with three women rarely watched sports (did go to alot of Saints games, though) now that he is retired he watches any and all sports and news shows drives Mom crazy...

I'm a geek by nature would rather watch documentaries than any sports other than LSU football or basketball and the NO Saints...

So, new plan of attack:
Tuesday clean Dayne's room and pack his clothes done
Wednesday I will have all three babies so the day off--decided to do the store run today... babies leave by three...
Thursday start Danny & I's bag & essentials bag; check in w/ online check in
Friday bring car to Ford (Danny has decided that the car needed an overhaul--right before we leave,uugghh--the warranty ends in Aug), and puppy to Vet
Saturday call Gwendolyn & Joe to bring their laundry and get them to start packing
Sunday go over packing list w/ Danny & Dayne; clean the fridge of any left overs; give dogs & birds baths
Monday go through what I packed; contact townhouse ressie for lock box code and directions
Tuesday wash bed sheets, mop floors, clean bathrooms laundry from the week
Wednesday pack up the three dogs and two birds to send with Danny to MIL's house; take it easy put bags in truck, bring Ashton to my mom's to spend the evening so we can nap and he can visit before leaving for the next 10 days!

So, since I can't sleep I was on the phone with the bank (recording) trying to figure if WDW refunded the money from the two night CX. No it was not there! So, just got off the phone (not so friendly--but professional CM) they dropped it on May 5 and now we are waiting on my bank. Never heard of such... when you get a credit any where else it only takes as long as their in house not your bank. Ugh! hope this is straightened out by next week by tomorrow would be nice. Over $300 not just a drop in the bucket for us...

I had a credit last year and it took almost two weeks for it to show in my bank account. I was so . The CM who issued the credit told me I could add it to my KTTW card when I got on property. I was expecting a $600 credit when I got there only to find out that they issued a credit to my bank - then it didn't show until we were almost done with the trip. Good think you can charge to your room all week and they process it at the end of the week as one charge or I could have been in trouble.

Hopefully it will show up today or tomorrow.

BTW, your plan looks great! Are we in single digits???
