Sorry to hear they lost the fridge. That's a bummer. Hopefully a cooler will work. How exciting about your girlfriend! Hopefully things will work out and she can spend Monday with you also. :goodvibes

You have been very, very busy! Sorry to be MIA, I've had so much going on. We're having our first sunshine in over a week and I so want to be at home and not here at work.
I figured you were busy with getting things together... but I was wondering if I was boreing you and a few others I have not heard from:laughing:
Glad the sun came out for ya'll--the sun came back out today here along w/ 100% humidity and 87 temps.

Hello! We will be going to Disney the same time as you too! AND we have a two year old AND we are from Louisiana. We just went to Disney in March, but we are going back with some friends and family in May. We fly out on May 21st. I have so excited, but also a little nervous, b/c we have never vacationed with others.

I have several ADR's made.

:welcome:Thank you for visiting my PTR
We need to see if we can organize a quick "run into". Where are you from in LA? we are from Ponchatoula. It is so much fun traveling with friends and family:yay:; but, it can be challenging also. You just need to remember not to try and be together constantly; try to plan something with your family and have them do the same. Believe me it will save hard feelings along the way.:grouphug:

Thanks to Nikki! and seeing how cute her boys were in the sun hats I HAD TO VISIT THE DISNEY STORE:lmao:, today. So, glad I did, not only did I get the "Tigger" hat for $3.99, 3 travel straw cups 3-$10, a buzz lightyear beach towel for $5.99, and 2 adult t-shirts (one for me & one for Dayne) for $5.99@.

Oh! and for anyone interested the onsie rompers that I had pictured are back and are only $8. they also had childrens t-shirts for $2.99 but as you have seen in the previous post Ashton has just about every t-shirt out. I need to save some to buy for next year.

Bonnie emailed today that she will meet us Saturday night at the townhouse, spend the day with us in AK on Sunday, spend the night with us there, and drive home on Monday. :yay::banana::dance3:

Thank God I have this Disney trip!!!!:yay:
[:wizard:Pleease DISNEY take me away...princess:
and I already know that I want to STAY there in the land of magic pixiedust:

we are all thinking about the heat!!
(although Danny is use to it--we are having the same temps here)
I just thought of something to try. I just came across "BE KOOL" fever pads you can cut into strips and place on the back of the neck or small of the back. I think I'm going to get another box or two and give this a try. also, going to pick up some "Florida Water" and see if all the hype about it is true.
Might get two bottles and tell Danny to use it next week at work ;)

I have not completely shared what is going on with Ashton. When Ashton was born he would always have a wheezing sound or cough. Especially when he ate, and as he became active. His first peditrician would say reflux, allergies, resp infection, and the final straw was asthma. No, I am not a doctor or a nurse but I am a mom and knew he did not have asthma. So, I switched back to the peditrician I used for Dayne before we moved. This was the end of Dec. She felt is was some sort of malasia, we were sent to see an ENT who found he had a restriction of his treachea just above his lungs. So, we went to see a pulminolgist who ordered a special CT; he found is was a vascular ring. So, we went to see a ped cardiologist. We were than told he was born with a right looped arota (it is suppose to be left) and that a ring was formed attached to the arota that surrounds his trachea. His surgery is June 8 and the surgeon will go in through his left side and snip the ring. If we do not do this he will continue to grow but the ring will not and will eventually suffocate him.

Well, you cannot see this ring on the CT!! So, I have been in my mind wondering what happens on June 8th if there is no ring!

So, I called the doctor; his nurse calls me back to tell me that he has seen this a number of times (this is a rare condition) and Ashton presents all the symptoms and he really feels 99.9% that it is a ring. Now, we like the doctor and the hospital; but, still not sure if I feel assured of the DX.

TIA for letting me get that off my chest. :scared:

Oh my! Vent away - I would be concerned too. Bless all of your hearts. This must be tough. It sounds like a Catch 22. He may not need the surgery because it isn't clear but what if he does and you didn't. Wow, that is a really scary scenario. We will be thinking of and praying for you and your family. My birthday is on the 7th so it will be easy for me to remember when his surgery is going to be. Did the doctor indicate how long it will take for Ashton to recover - will the poor little guy be in a lot of pain?

Well. he HAS to have surgery, that is a given. Something is restricting the treachea. The recovery is suppose to be easy, one week of staying quiet (a 2.5 yr old--right). Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!! I think this is why Dayne and Gwendolyn are driving me nuts right now; this just stays on my mind. I'm worried about how the heat is going to affect him. Dayne did not handle heat well as a child and he did not have problems.

Keeping him quiet might be a challenge but hopefully it will only take a week and he will be a much happier boy. Hopefully the heat won't bother him too bad. Bring lots of the squirting fans and a mister along with the fever packs and you should be able to keep him fairly comfortable. I also go to air conditioned shops or rides when we just really need a cool break. That can really change a cranky attitude almost immediately. Speaking of the mister I need to find ours....now where did I put that thing.

Trying to decide if I want to add the quick dining plan, now that I have reduced our ressie to just 5 nts. Just can't remember how much they said it was:confused3. Sounds like more homework for me...:rotfl2:

If I remember correctly, and I probably don't there wasn't too much difference between it and the regular Dining plan cost wise. We enjoy the dining plan-makes us stop to smell the roses a little.

Hope you're having a good weekend. Haven't forgotten the pics I owe ya.

Having a great weekend so far;). Suppose to be cleaning my closet since yesterday:scared1: spent most of my morning yesterday making corsages for a bridal shower... now I'm playing on the computer... anything but what I said I am going to do:rotfl2:...

if you don't get a chance w/the pics don't worry about it:upsidedow
I know you have got to be busy... you leave in 7 days:woohoo:

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day Connie!

Still working on that pic but will get it done before we go. Hope you had a great weekend too!

Thank you! Just accessing the computer for the first time today!
Gwendolyn and Joe came by and spent the entire day with us today(they brought Ashton swimming, Danny worked on the car, and Dayne came and went--so quiet day for me); we later went to my parents for dinner. Great Day!:thumbsup2

But, I did get Ashton's clothes packed (two outfits per day, with a few extra t-shirts--still need to pack his p.j.s. So his busy bag, DVD bag and suitcase all ready:woohoo:; just need to pickup diapers. Never did clean my closet:sad2:--try again this week so I can pack our clothes over the weekend. Also, want to try and pack for Dayne while he is in school this week (I want to chose what he looks like while we are there:lmao:).

Dayne just told me an hour ago he has a paper to write (due tomorrow) for English on the movie "A Raisin in the Sun". So, I'm sitting here trying to remember the play; never seen the movie. (Teenagers are soooooo much fun and I know I'm going to end up writing this*for him to do a redo* google here I come--HE IS FAILING ENGLISH w/ 8 days to go:headache:). So, off I go...
Update: all done and it is only 11:24 pm and I only need to wake up at 4 am to get Danny off to work, wake Dayne at 5 am to redo this paper.

:Our single digits are finally in view!!!!:cheer2

Sounds like you had a pretty nice Mother's Day. You are almost in single digits!!! It will go by fast until next Monday and then it will drag...

Good luck on getting the closet cleaned up. I have to get everything cleaned up too. Our neighbor comes in while we are gone and takes care of our dogs and fish. Don't want the place a wreck for her and don't want to come home to a mess.

I didn't like English much and I'm not really a book reader so writing the paper would be torture for me. I'm a math and science type of girl. :lmao:

Have a great day Connie!

So, I have stopped the mail for next week. And I have managed to clean one half of the closet; just putting things in there place. On to the clothes after I break to prepare lunch for the little ones (they think they are on a treasure hunt-lol). I hate cleaning the closet but it will feel so good when it is done. Need to really throw it all out and start over (wouldn't that be nice).

Ugh! still can't find my denim cap **I have to have a hat--my hair is sooo thin** found some old straw sun hats...

Did you decide whether or not to purchase the quick service dining plan? We actually thought about it but were afraid we'd be tired of quick service food since we're staying 10 days. It really may be cost effective for you guys.

Well, I called yesterday for the price. I don't know why but I had gotten the price from Universal and WDW mixed up:confused3. I figure we can eat in the parks at quick service for $10-12.50 pp and Ashton $5-7 (most of the time off Danny and I's plate. We are not snack eaters and I plan to take water bottles with us. Therefore, after hearing $35 -40 pp pd I changed my mind again(had it been $25 pd I was going to add it). We have eaten on budget before and I know we can do it again. Esp. if I tell the older ones you have $20/25 a day the rest is on you; they will watch what they spend. And I plan to have snacks and probably cold cuts in the room for the middle of the day pool ventures. So, No on this trip.

But, Danny & I plan to use it on our next trip in a few years (the year both Dayne & Gwendolyn graduate --if Gwendolyn doesn't decide she is getting married--we won't have their car insurance--which we pay until they graduate); maybe we will be able to hit the "Free Dining Plan" next go round. Just can't afford to shell that much out on 5 adults. Without a car note and two young adults car insurance we are going to feel like we hit the lottery. We may even do the deluxe dining plan --LOL!

I have been researching the quick service and counter service meals at each park and I know we can do it. As I said we have done it before.

:woohoo: I found the floor!!!:woohoo:

Think the shelves can wait; definite improvement. if something happens to us my mom and sister will just have to walk in throw it all in bags and throw it out --:lmao:

So, tomorrow I'll hit Dayne's room:scared1: and pack for him;).

Pulled out the beach towels and swimsuits (hope they fit:eek:).

So, new plan of attack:
Tuesday clean Dayne's room and pack his clothes
Wednesday I will have all three babies so the day off

Sunday go over packing list w/ Danny & Dayne; clean the fridge of any left overs; give dogs & birds baths
Monday go through what I packed; contact townhouse ressie for lock box code and directions
Tuesday wash bed sheets, mop floors, clean bathrooms:laundy: laundry from the week
Wednesday pack up the three dogs and two birds to send with Danny to MIL's house; take it easy put bags in truck, bring Ashton to my mom's to spend the evening so we can nap and he can visit before leaving for the next 10 days!:lovestruc
