Oh he had the entire winter break for the project. He had to get up in front of the class and do an oral presentation. So, he did not do it nor did he tell me about it until after the fact; so , I would not do it and make him turn it in. I think now that it is too late he realizes that a 50 "f" on the project would have been better than the ZERO; at least he would be passing and I would be grounding him for the "D" I am just praying he gets at this point.

About foreign lang. Gwendolyn took honors Spanish I and II, she knows a few words and phrases. I think they learn more from "Dora" and Diego". Now, that she is in college she WANTS to take french and german; says they actually learn to use the lang. But, I agree they should not be able to tell a child they cannot go to college w/o a foreign lang. I can see math (that the HS is sooo behind on), English, and science. Gwendolyn was in honors classes and an "A" student and struggles in college in math. One of the little girls I watch her mom was valdictorian and she struggles in math and English in college (go figure).

Oh! well enough venting for one day...just have to wait and see now and hope that it all works out...just trying to help our kids with a future and its becoming harder and harder...

But, I'm leaving for Florida in less than 15 hours...

Dayne's last day of his Jr. year of High School --dreaded English exam today I just pray he does really really really wellI pray he finds the confidence he needs and passes with an "A" so he will pass her class

WE LEAVE FOR FLORIDA IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!!

So, she has posted his English exam grade 186/200 C -- she has not given him his extra credit as of yet that we know of (I hope it was not included in the exam grade)his current average is 0.5 from a D. all we can do is hope that she is able to help him with the .5 of a point if not summer school here he comes...thanks for the prayers, good wishes, and thoughts...

starting to slack over here...one batch of laundry left to do but still need to clean the master bath...

mom came pick up Ashton, one little girl gone, still have one left...than off to the shower for me pampering...also did not make a hair appt so I need to trim my bangs and the top of my hair also need to do a pedi might try to see if she'll let me do that now (maybe I can do her's too and I can get mine done that way)

getting tired should sleep well tonight

All packed!!! Danny outside finishing his truck need to transfer the car seat get the luggage in the truck go to bed. We are hitting the road for 4 am.

So, the ride over here was very chaotic, to say the least...
Danny forgot his wallet (after we spent twenty minutes looking for Dayne's before we left--we left one hour later than planned) he realized this in Gulfport
We hit periodic rain on the ride did not make it to the town house until 11:00 pm.
It has rained everyday since we have been here. Some days are just typical summer weather patterens. Some, have been really heavy...
Really enjoyed spending the day with Bonnie on Sunday and sad that our trip is coming to an end tomorrow and that is it suppose to be a was out tomorrow. Talk to you when I get home...Sat.

BTW!! Dayne passed English!!

Just walking in; long ride with a two yr old. He really did do a great job there and back. Only a few melt downs.

We had a great time, even though it rained every day. And, it is the first time I did not get to do EVERYTHING!!

Hard with a baby and the crowds were rude and unreal!:eek: Will NEVER go back in May! Planning for a first week in Dec. 2010 or 2011 or the week after Mardi Gras if not on Presidents day in the yrs above. As Ashton said after EVERY ride--again, again, again...

Really tired, long long day... will try to start tomorrow but it may be Monday before I can post a TR. Lots of laundry and we have to go to get the pets from Danny's mom's house tomorrow (more riding--ugh!)

How our trip started...
we planned to leave for 3 am than changed our mind the night before decided to leave for 6 am did not leave until 7:30 am
Dayne could not find his wallet that put us behind by 30 min...
we got on the road and all the kids needed breakfast so we stopped in Gulfport. Danny DID NOT HAVE HIS WALLET! so I called my parents (woke them up--she sleeps late) they met us in Slidell with Danny's wallet. That put us behind another 1.5 hr. Ashton did fine on the ride wish I could say the same for Danny; he goes to sleep w/the glare. We drove through lots and lots of rain (I hate driving in the rain on the interstate!)

So, we finally made it to pick up the stroller from the previous swapper around 9 pm and went to go to Shades of Green for tickets the ticket window closed at 9 pm (just missed it).

Went to look for the townhouse--the Garmin was confusing Danny and he would not listen to me (wish I would have just mapquest it and told him where to go like we always do).

Finally got to the townhouse and the code for the key did not work the phone # they gave us was a recording...luckily she called back w/in seconds. The townhouse was very nice; esp for the price of $72 a night (wonderful rate). It had a king,queen,two twins and a sofa bed w/two baths. Gated community, had two great pools and a playground (we did not have time to use).

Danny & I went to Wal-mart bought frozen pizzas and a few things...got back at 12:30 no one wanted to eat by that time...go figure

took hot showers and crashed set the alarms for 6:30 am to start our day at Islands of Adventure--but we still needed at least Joe's Universal tickets...
