I have been catching up on your report. Haven't had alot of time lately. We leave Thursday morning. Flying out of Jackson, MS. I am so bummed about the weather down there. I sure hope it goes away before we land on Thursday!!!

I am somewhat packed. We still have some extras to throw in and the diaper bag to pack..it may be hard since the finals of American Idol are tonight and tomorrow night. :)

So, we leave two more days...:thumbsup2
the rain seems to be a certain thing through the weekend...:headache:
that will ruin Universal/IOA part of the trip and since I booked a townhouse I can't change things (did not pay the $75 insurance fee) and I really do not want to be there the following weekend; the crowds are suppose to get really bad:eek:... and I need to be home to take Ashton to his pre-op--:scared:ugh!!
back to the nursery rhyme: "Rain rain go away...":upsidedow

off to wallyworld and JCP for last minute things... and packing will be finished by this afternoon:cheer2::woohoo::yay::cool1:

I guess the Splash Mountain slogan is true for this week...

DRY IS NOT AN OPTION.

I do daycare, I only have 1 little girl right now, so I should be able to get more done, but you know how that goes!! I hope the rain isn't too bad, all the planning in the world, and we can't control that darn weather.

Just started reading and I must say I am in the same boat as far as weather is concerned. We are leaving on Friday Morning early from NC and driving straight down. SOOOO worried about the crowds and the weather. We normally go in the off season and some how we manage to avoid the rain normally. Our Trip is the 23-29th.
I thought is was supose to be April Showers bring May flowers? Not MAY showers....
Wishing for a little Magic in the weather.... and crowds...

Taking a break for the moment--just came in from store hopping. Did not find the rain ponchos and forgot Danny's RX and batteries:headache:
So, either have to run out again later or tomorrow evening after Ashton and the last little girl is picked up.:sad2:

Going to go pack Danny & I's things and start the laundry (everyday chore:laundy:) see what else I forgot:guilty:

Best part of the news its tropical weather--watched the weather this morning and it was in a definate circuliar pattern already I just hope it goes northeast before Thursday--the Atlantic can have it; its too soon for this type of weather. Have a careful :drive: down.
here wishing us both some pixiedust: we need as much as we can muster pixiedust:
:wizard:disneyprincess: here we come...party:

So, I am just about finished packing (it's in the suitcase -- need to iron a couple of my pieces--and missing a few in the laundry)...Danny on his way home not happy the kids did not bathe the dogs, yet!

ugh oh. They better get to washing those dogs!

Be sure to check your fridge before you go. I left some left overs in ours and we had some interesting science experiments when we got home.

Thanks! for the fridge reminder...did that yesterday with the garbage man...Dayne jsut took off with a friend and Danny is outside washing his dog!!! needless to say he is really not happy now...Teenagers soooo much fun...

Pets are gone!:woohoo: Kaleigh, our Amazon blue faced parrot, bit Danny on the arm, this is the first time she has ever bitten he was not happy --I bet it hurt:sad1:but the two older dogs were all excited they were going to see mawmaw:rotfl2:
Just about all packed!!:yay:
laundry started :laundy:
just heard the weather will probably be typical summer time patterns:dance3:
the tropical weather is coming here, instead:eek:
all three babies suppose to be out of here by 5:00 pm (even Ashton is going to spend the evening w/my parents)
Dayne's last day of his Jr. year of High School --dreaded English exam today I just pray he does really really really well:scared:I pray he finds the confidence he needs and passes with an "A" so he will pass her class:angel:

:hyper2:WE LEAVE FOR FLORIDA IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!! party: :dancer:

More bad news:sad1:...not devasting news but not what I wanted to hear before I leave one more thing to worry about:sad2:

Dayne's counselor just called to say the auto program he was to enter next year is being closed due to the fact the instructor does not want to deal with dual enrolled students... he will have to travel 40/45 min away two days a week and three days a week via the internet:headache: instead of going to class after 4 hrs at HS just 5 min from the HS.
I am so tired of the school system in this state not being willing to help high school students land on their feet after high school for those who do not plan on attending college. We had more opportunities offered to us 25 yrs ago than they do now!

Sorry had to vent...DH said he just needs to find something else...the sad part is there is NOTHING else except transfer schools and he is not doing that he has his ring and its his SR. year.

Praying for him as well! He's gonna get that A. I just know he is.

I totally understand your frustration with the Louisiana school system. That's exactly why my daughter is now enrolled in a missionary program in Georgia. By this time next year, she'll be Rev. Lacey McBride!

Don't apologize for venting. That's exactly what these boards are all about. I guess I can sympathize a bit more because I am in Louisiana too.

I'm gonna keep praying that the test score is an A and the weather is pretty.

Yikes. SO sorry that happened. That drive is going to get old very fast!

I can't wait to hear how your kids like Universal. We went last year and enjoyed it. Madeline like the Barney show and the Dr. Suess carousel at Islands of adventure!

Try this again (just replied--but did not go through)
I just checked his grades...not posted yet...do not know if she will post today if not I will not know until I come back (unless the townhouse has free wi-fi/I'll need to check--wasn't suppose to be bringing computer). Anyway, I do know that he has passed Chemistry & Alg II w/ "C"'s, American History "B", Welding II & PE "A" (of course), Spanish "F" (this is the reason he has decided he cannot go to college he hates Spanish this is his second try). English on the other hand is a low grade all due to laziness (did not do a project worth 100 pts in beg of semester-uugh). so, now we are just praying he can pull his 65.5 up to a 70 or better. I just hope he does it so he does not have to go to summer school (because wheather he likes it or not that is where he will be spending his summer).

My older kids and Danny love it. Like they would rather spend a week there instead of Disney (no way that will ever happen/with me planning it). Although, Gwendolyn is as excited as I am to see how Ashton's does at Disney and Barney & Dr. Suess. One day he is happy and going to see Mickey the next he is saying no and no to riding to boat w/Peter Pan and Pooh. will just have to see...

I do not understand why they require that a student take a foreign language class. When we were in school, it was an elective. My daughter passed Spanish with a B because her teacher was a coach who taught them stupid words, not the language itself.

Couldn't you just pull our kids' hair out when they tell you their grade went down because they didn't do a project or it was late or something similar?!? Projects are usually easy because they give them over a week to do them. Kids!!!!!
