I posted poll a couple of days ago asking your opinion of what hotels you recemmend, but after much research and amicable discussion with the wife i have been told that its either 1 of the following three resorts for june 2004. please help!!!:earsboy:

We stayed at Caribbean Beach in 2000 and haven't tried the others. Although by looking at CSR - I probably wouldn't want to stay there,

At CBR we stayed in the Martinique Buildings which was very conveniant for the food court/pool etc :)

I have not stayed at CBR we have not wantec to stay there.
We have just come back from staying at the Coronado Springs and were very pleased with it. We stayed in the Casitas building, which was a short walk to the main pool and the food court.
We actually liked it better than the POR.

Stayed at the CSR in September, I lasted two nights before transferring to the Boardwalk.

The resort is very nice. The Dig Site looked good and the facilities were fine. However, I was not impressed by the room. The Pepper Market offered a good selection of food, but the prices were rediculous.

I had hotel hopped and stayed in the Hilton (Downtown Disney), Renaissance (SeaWorld) and a Condo on the Gulf Coast - so maybe my expectations were set a little high!

Personally, I would recommend splitting your stay up. Try a Downtown Disney area hotel for a few nights and then maybe a Deluxe resort for a few nights?

splitting the stay up sounds fine but we always go with virgin, so would this be possible. and we have 2 boys (4 and 6) so it would be alot of hassle. thanks for your input!

I booked with Virgin Holidays - only decent priced fights I could get were part of a fly-drive package.

Their website is flexible enough to book multiple sets of accommodation, so splitting up your stay shouldn't be difficult.
I used priceline and the Disney website to book the hotels.

Admittedly, it was just myself and my better(?) half - no children. I can appreciate the concerns you have and to be honest, sometimes the packages are as competitive as anything you can arrange independently. However, I do enjoy hunting down my own tailor made holiday!

I would encourage anyone to browse the net and see what can be done by themselves. There is so much good information on these boards and elsewhere - pm me if you want a selection of links. Even if you still decide to book it all with an agent, at least you will know whether you are getting a good deal or not ;)

This is such a difficult question since the theming is so different for each resort and they are each (speaking from personal opinion) great resorts, similar size resorts too.

I think I'd go for the theming you all prefer!

I think Virgin would be flexible enough for you to change resorts - worth asking! Disney will transfer your luggage for you from resort to resort, so you'll still have time to visit a park on your changeover day if you wish! Just inform the Bell Services the day before, but take into account that your luggage may not arrive until early evening at the second resort.

Recently stayed at CBR and I loved it. The buildings were lovely the rooms were huge. The resort was so clean. The Food Court was fine but I'm not a huge food court person anyway but any food I had from there I enjoyed. I loved both the main pool and the quiet pool. All the rooms have been recently refurbed and they now include hairdryers as well as coffee makers.

My only comment would be you need to try and stay as close to Old Port Royale as possible - Jamaica or Aruba look great choices as does Martinique

The bus service was excellent everytime I used it.

I moved resorts 3 times whilst I was there. The first time I had no car and so had bell services move it from CBR to Wilderness Lodge I didn't see my luggage again until 6ish just to warn you but it certianly made life easier.
