What was your major in college?

I'm a molecular biology major; my boyfriend is a psychology major with a biology minor.

I majored in El Ed but minored in Communications Disorders. i wish i majored in Comm Disorders. I think I would have really enjoyed being a speech therapist.

I'm currently in the teaching program pursuing my dual certification in Early Elementary (P-5) and Early Childhood (Birth-5). I graduate next May and hope to work in a preschool! :)

The original (and dying) Engineering discipline, Industrial Engineering.

:rotfl: I'm pretty sure I'm older than you.

It's been a long time since my college days, but I recall that I have a BS in elementary education with a minor in language-communications and a minor in learning disabilities.

I taught first grade for many years, and pre-first grade for several years. I've worked with children with learning disabilities and children with behavior disorders. I've also worked as a photojournalist. Yes, I feel I've gotten good use out of my degree.:)

Major: History & Electrical Engineering (I know!)
Minor: Women's Studies, Native American Studies, & African American World Studies

I got to college with ALOT of college credit & had a 4 year scholarship--so I took any classes that interested me including: canoeing, latin american dance, latin american narrative, and my favorite a class about debunking "pseudo-science"

College was a good time!!

I'm working on finishing up my bachelors in math. Then hopefully on to grad school, the current plan is a phd in biostatistics, but that may change as I complete more of my high level classes.

Interior Design. I have an associates, and I am about one class away from a bachelors, but I quit when I realized, during my internship, that I HATED interior design :headache: and wanted to be a flight attendant more than anything.

Highest degree is a PhD in chemistry - and yup, I use that degree daily. :thumbsup2 Picture me, standing in the shower...noting how surface tension holds water in the back of the disposable razor I am using to hack the winter leg-fuzzies away. :rotfl2: Important stuff here, ya know?! (Are we playing TMI here?)

Anyways, to the person who mentioned a BS in physics...the person who said a PhD was the way to go, they're definitely correct! It's actually relatively hard to find physicists for college teaching positions. :confused3

I graduate in August with my Bachelors in Accounting... Nervous but hopeful I can find a job!

BA in American Constitutional History.
MS in Elementary Education with a minor in Reading, with middle school science and social studies added to my license.

I work as a juvenile probation officer, so I use my degrees a lot. Today in Court, the defense attorney had some questions about learning disabilities, so I got to answer those questions.

BS in Mathematics (minor in Business Administration)-but I did alternate route certication to become a math teacher. May 8, I will graduate with a Masters in School Counseling-something I've wanted to do for many years!

BS in Accounting
MBA

I work in the finance-accounting field - love numbers :goodvibes

I plan to major in hospitality and tourism!
But I am only a Junior [almost Senior] in high school.

My ultimate goal is to work at Disney World OR be a travel guide.

Bachelors: History & English
Masters: Public Administration with Business Administration Concentration

I work for Fed gov't, so I use my degree :yay:

I didnt know what I wanted to be when I grew up and I just kinda fell into those majors (loved History & thought English would get me a job, boy was I wrong). Initially, I wanted to be a RN, I worked as a Scrub Tech on L&D while I was in undergrad and grad shool. I shoulda prusued that, but I didnt think I was smart enough. I have been threatening to go back for a while....I wouldnt make as much $$, but I have come to realize that $$ is NOT everything.

Double major of Psychology and Sociology, minor in Women's and Gender Studies.

Though those aren't the most lucrative majors I could have chosen, especially without a graduate degree, I enjoyed what I learned - and I was employed in my first job before I even graduated and started the following Monday. I quickly advanced at that job, and when we relocated, I got the first job I applied for and have advanced there as well. Sometimes having the degree can help you get your foot in the door, no matter what it is.

I was a journalism major, then dance major, art history and finally graduated with a degree in Travel Administration. Sounds cool and was an awesome time, but the industry isn't very booming right now!
