What was your FIRST ride in Disney? Good Memories lets talk!

My first ride that I can remember was POTC in 1985. I remember thinking it was the coolest thing I had ever seen (I don't recall ever having been on a ride of any kind before that) and the smell of Pirates still makes me feel like that little kid again!

I live in the UK and my first memory of Disney was when my Mum and Dad decided to take my sister and I to EuroDisney (now Disneyland Paris) when I was five-years-old. The park had only been open a couple of years at the time and my parents actually drove us for hours to get a ferry over to France. At the time, it seemed like the longest journey ever but it was also such an adventure!

When we arrived, I had never seen anything like it before (other than on the VHS planning videos they used to send us) and was completely blown away by everything. My biggest memory is being absolutely terrified on Snow White's Scary Adventures and crying the whole way through it as I thought The Hag had jumped into our vehicle (I had my eyes shut the whole time). I do, however, have lots of happy memories of this trip, too - riding Peter Pan's Flight with my Mum, trying (and failing!) to pull the sword out of the stone and running wild in Alice's maze.

Because of this trip, Disneyland Paris will always be more special to me than any of the other parks!

The first ride was Figment! Sadly, we haven't been on it again since. Maybe this next trip :)

Oh wow...I have been going since I was a little kid, so I have no idea of my personal very first ride. My first ride with my husband was Soarin'. Our first ride with our son was the Little Mermaid ride in Fantasyland.
