What was your first concert?

I went with my parents to see the Captain and Tenille at the then NJ Garden Arts center. I don't remember the year but I think I was around 7 years old.

Rick Springfield in 1983. He was dreamy!

The stage was set up on one end of the arena and we went and stood in his shadow while he sang 'What Kind of Fool am I?'

Wow! Hendrix opening for the Monkees. Who would have thunk it?

Apparently, he only opened for 7 of their shows, and he was BOOED because most of the Monkees fans thought his music was a little wierd....who knew!

Led Zeppelin, 1972

I'd seen The Fifth Dimention and a few other bands at The Garden State Arts Center when I was younger....but Zep was my first rock n roll concert without parents.

Osmond Brothers 1971, also again in '72

Okay you can all laugh now!!

Take That, 1995, but I don't like to talk about it... I was 8 so I think I can just get away with it!

The Jacksons Victory tour - about 1984, I think? At Comiskey Park.

Since then I've probably been to about 50 different concerts - most of them classic rock, hard rock and heavy metal.

Van Halen & Loverboy in Toronto in 1986 (my family and I were vacationing in Toronto on our way to take me to college in the Canadian Maritimes). It was a great concert!!

Doobie Brothers. I was about 13, so 1978?

Me too! At the Providence Civic Center. I want to say that Manfred Mann opened...can't be 100% sure on that though.

Now it's embarrassing, but then it was "so cool"

New Kids on the Block in Atlantic City. I think Tiffany might've opened.

Early 80's (don't remember exact year) the Rolling Stones at Madison Square Garden.

There were a few with my parents, the only one I remember is Chet Atkins. I remember him singing and thinking he should really stick to guitar playing (which I would say he was a virtuoso at). We also went to organ concerts a lot. Back then music stores would sponsor virtuoso organists' concerts.
