What was your first car?

1978 ford pinto :lmao: I loved that car til i hydro planed and hit ditch when i was 13wks pregnant with my first child. We were fine but the car totalled..My inlaws gave me their 1980 mustang...that was the ugliest mustang....sold it about 10yrs ago...lol
I'm waiting for my DH to fix my 1987 honda civic...i love that car...it kept over heating and now needs new heads...

Hmmmm... Well... It's not a car. It's a bike... I had a Yamaha Serrow as my first ride. but my 2nd Ride is a Honda Civic. well actually the bike was a Birthday and at the same time, graduation gift to me by my Dad. The Civic was my own personal project.

Yellow 1971 Super Beetle, with a sunroof and no A/C.

Bought it used in 1977 for $600, I put over 100,000 miles on that thing!!!! Called it the Lemon Drop. :)

It lived through being crammed FULL of kids in high school (8 people in a bug???), through working pizza delivery through college, many road trips and adventures.

Ah, the memories...

1967 red beetle stick shift..................................nothing to this day was as fun as freezing in that cold blooded son of a...............................bug. it sounded like a lawn mower and did not go much faster. as far as current is concerned..... 2011 aloe green camry. favorite of all time.............1985 celica supra.

65 Thunderbird.... another car for the wish i had that one now!!

1985-1/2 Ford Escort. I loved that little car, once I got over the fact that my dad sold the car I really wanted as my first, a highlighter yellow 1973 Karmaan Ghia.

A 1970 something Datsun B210 hatchback.. Cherry red with black interior. I loved that car and was devastated when I was hit and it was totaled.

After I crashed my dad's Chevy truck, he figured I didn't need a decent car, just a BIG car. Thus a '74 red Ford Ranchwagon, previously driven by a blind man who couldn't see the sides of his driveway so continually scraped the paint off the sides of the car, then touched up the RED car with ORANGE touch-up paint. You could pretty easily spot it in just about any parking lot.

My next car topped that though. A 1967 Pontiac GTO powder blue convertible with wood stearing wheel, crome wheels, sterio, 400 cubes, 360 hp with a 410 rear end, air shocks, slicks. I still have the invoice which was for $3200.00.

That was my DREAM car!! :lovestruc I had magazine pictures of that car up on my bedroom walls before I could drive! I wanted that car... but it never happened.

The first car I drive was my mom's 1973 Pontiac Tempest. I hated that car- it had blind spots all over the place!!

The first car I bought with MY money- brand spanking new- 1976 Toyota Corolla. I remember I could fill up the gas tank for just over $6.00!!! I had that car for over 10 years- it took me from NJ, to college in Indiana (Purdue) and on to the "real world" in Chicago. Finally sold it when it was on its last legs.

Mine was a 2001 ford escape, which i bought new after getting my first post-college job. Sold it about 5 years ago and we've been car-free ever since!

I think I have you beat for the ugliest mustang, my first car was the 1986 mustang (bought with my own $500 in October 1998) desperate for a new maroon paint job, with a horrible red leather interior, with a huge dent on one side, a torn up convertible top( I did get a new top that Christmas), and a back window that did not go up or down without a lot of help, also the air did not work, but the radio was pretty good!!! My boyfriend at the time (now my husband of 8 and a half years!!!) refused to call it a mustang, it was and forever shall be known as "el burro"!!! My parents made me get rid of it before I went to college and I had to drive my mom's old 1996 Chevy Lumina!! I hated it!! I loved "el burro" and I miss her terribly!!

1980 Fiat Spider my brother gave me. It was bright orange/red with a targa top. No reverse. You had to open the door and push it with your feet to go backwards. LOL.

A 1988 maroon Ford Escort Hatchback - had great pickup and I loved that car! Had just finished paying it off before I went back to school in 94 (bought it in 92) when I was hit by a drunk driver. Car was completely smushed except for the driver seat. Ended up quickly buying a Chevy Celebrity Wagon which worked out well, as we barely fit all my stuff in school for that - never would have fit into the Escort. :goodvibes

I have a really bad 2000 Saturn Station Wagon in Green. Im only 18 so its my first.

The car I learned to drive in was a 1972 Chrysler Newport - which redefined 'land yacht' (keep in mind I learned to drive in 1980 - my father NEVER purchased a new car). The car I had when I got my license was a '75 Duster (mustard). I loved that car, but lost it when the engine seized on the Garden State Parkway. No one ever told me you had to put oil in those things. My first new car was a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse - loved that car too. That was also the beginning of the 'monthly car payment' - which didn't end until last November when I paid off my SUV. That was the first time in 20 years I didn't have a car payment and I don't miss it!!!

'81 Pontiac Firebird...

Pearl White with orange interior. (yikes ! :scared1:)

I was too cool for school. Um, that is until I flipped and totaled it six months later... :headache:

1967 Camaro, bought used in in 1972 at the end of my senior year of high school.

327 with Cragers, black with two white stripes - kept the car until 1982, sold it and bought a Buick Regal and an engagement ring.

'63 Mercedes 190sl hardtop convertable. It was used but yes I'm really that old:lmao:
I was in college and really needed a car. Ok, maybe I didn't need that car. I had the money but didn't know how to drive a stick. After borrowing my friends VW Bug for a weekend I was ready. :cloud9:
