What was your first Beatle Experience?

I can't remember my first experience because they were playing a lot!! I do remember "Octopus's Garden" as being a song that I really liked as a very young child.

My mom has always been a Beatles lover. She talks about seeing them on Ed Sullivan and still has albums that she bought as a teenager. She has a set of Beatle dolls that her cousin bought for her in the mid sixties that are relatively valuable. We weren't allowed to mess with them too much!

Like millions of other teenage girls, I was glued to the TV the first night they appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. They became an obsession!

I saw them at Boston Gardens in 1964, Shea Stadium in 1965 and Suffolk Downs (just outside of Boston) in 1966. I still have the program from the 64 concert and my ticket stub from Shea Stadium event. John Lennon was and still is my favorite of the four. His talent was amazing.

Virgo10 - have you read the book John by Cynthia Lennon. If you haven't I encourage you to get a copy of it. I thought it was wonderful, very truthful, showed both is soft and dark side and had a lot of wonderful insite to his life in the late 50's early 60's that I never read anywhere before.

I saw the Beatles live in 1964 at Olympia Stadium in Detroit. :cool1:

My mother paid $3.00 for my standing room only ticket. What can I say? It was fantastic. I was breathing the same air as the Beatles :goodvibes
